Happy New Year..

I hope every body has had a great start on the new year. I have been a lazy blogger, but I have been thinking a lot... I see a lot bloggers have new years goal,as I used to have. But for this year I have desided not to have any one. This will be my relaxing year- I will buy the fabrics who cry my name - start what I want to do and finish what I like to finish.I will spent time with my familie and friends, have a lot og fun and just enjoy my self. I have some great trips in front of me - one to Bergen - one to Tønsberg and one to Danmark... and I have a great dream I want to come true....
So as you see at the photo- the sky are golden ( some times) :-)

As a great start of 2012 I got this great mailing from Julie.It came all the way from Japan,beautifull fabrics and a thimble from Tokyo. Thank you so mutch Julie, I love it all :-)
Do you remember the challenge Lapphøna and I had, with the fabrics from Lappemor? Well here are my last one. So now I got 6 new tablerunnere... Thanks Anne Heidi for all the great fabrics. Hope you will do this again this year.
I have manage to start something this year too... I have been playing with Magda and leftovers that I got from Abyquilt:-) For the first time I have tryed to make Dresdenplates.. I have no plans for how it will turn out at the end...
And I have been playing with my new toy- Go! Baby. Wow it is so fun to cut fabrics.. At my first try I desided to try to sew Hexagons with help of Magda. And we manage... Clever girls :-)) No plans for this neither, just playing just because...

I hope you all remember to have some fun untill next time :-)

SCSS 2011...

This Cristmas I got a lot of great pressents, and as mutch as three from Australia. I got this great surprice from Donna - Chookyblue. Thank you for every thing- now I can look and dreem about getting there all through the year ;-) Her cards are so beautifull so I just have to have them for my self.
I got a Kangaroo jumping all the way from Beth in Australia bringing SCSS gifts to me.. I love this pincushion....
This are all the great gifts I got from Beth, the Higlandhen.Thank you - I love it all.
I even got a big parsell from Lisa, Cubbyhousecraft.Look at all the great gifts she made for me :-)
No wonder I feel spoiled. Thank you so mutch both my SCSS partners and a big hug to you Donna for making all this fun happen :-)
I was so blessed this Christmas, I got a lot of great pressent - a lot of new fabrics and sewing items- a lot of great gifts - but the greatest joy was to be able to spend the BIG evening with the most important peoples in our family- Emma and Peder :-)

Cristmas time..

It is starting to look as Christmas here in my home,the wallquilt I won on Red Brolly's giveaway are on the wall. It is beautifull- so thanks again Bronwyn.It is goig to be a long Christmas here :-)
Yesterday I got a big parsell at the post office. It almost took all the space at the" Spark" But I manage to get it home with me...
Blogline are plying with my photos,, so the one I want to show at last - didn't want to wait.. It is the christmas tree I have by the birds house.. It was lovely when it got snow on it- so I hope for more snow :-)
Ok - back to the big parsell... It was the Baby Go I won at Joy's giveaway... To big win in to days- I doubt it ever will happen to me again :-) I had to try my Go Baby last nigth. It was so fun and easy-- So now I got a lot of new ideas to work on at the new year. Thank you Joy, I love it :-)

A great parcel....

To day I got a lovely message in my mail box: I have got a letter to big for my mail box... So I had to put on more clothes and walk to the postoffice... hmm actual I ride with Vigdis one way.. And yes it was one of the great gifts I won at a giveaway. This I got from Red Brolly....
At home I started to open it at once... First the packet was green....
and when I poend it I found a red pack....
when I open the red one I found a white one... Then I start to remember an old song , Eh... Old and old... Ok.. from some years ago... Little boxes... In the song they sing about boxes in all colours...
Back to the pack ... in the white pack I found this beautifull quilt. I love it and can't wait to show it to all my friends.. Thank you Bronwyn for giving this to me:-) It will be on my wall from Advent start untill easter , as we says here in Norway: Christmas last all the way to easter:-)
Here you can see a close up photo. As you can see I even got a beautifull card and a pad.( who I don't belive I can use. It is so great)

The sun are always shining somewhere....

Last weekend I went on a trip to see the sun ....Yes I went to Nice to visit my brother and his family, and I did see the sun. It was as warm and yellow as it use to be in "old days" here in Trysil too :-) This summer has been a non risk for sunburn. So it was lovely to feel the sunshine at my face :-)
The plane left Norway in a hurry - thanks to Berit the storm who realy played at our coast. When we flew over the Alps we got this beautifull view.Not mutch snow to see, but sunny weather:-)
I had some realy great surprises when I was at my trip... I won some- eh-2 big giveaways.. It is almost like I feel a little ashamed by my luck... but I'm soo happy... I can't wait to show you the great prizes. Ok I will tell -I won both at Bronwyn and Joys blogs.. And when I got home there was even more gifts waiting for me , from my SCSS partners.I got two this year. I got this beautifull little bag from Lisa + a gift for under the Christmas tree....
And this sweet little bird + a Christmas gift ( for under the tree) from Beth. It is going to bee a long time to wait untill the 24. when I can open the gifts. Thank you both Lisa and Beth and not to forget Donna, who are making all this fun happen:-) Lucke for me I live here in Norway -so I can open my gifts on Christmas eve... :-)
I have only one big worry... Nemo tell me I don't deserve a gift from her, I have got to mutch... Wonder if she REAL mean that.... :-/
If you wonder why I just love to see the sun - take a look at this photo. This was what waited for me when I got home.. Grey sky and snow. I'm soo pleased we got snow atlas- it don't look so dark outside and IT is wintertime... :-)

Angles and mice....

I have been playing a lot with Angels and mice lately.Great pattern from AnnAka. This is one of the Angels from the pillows. I have used it on an Advent Calendar for Emma , so she can get one small gift every day in Desember untill the 24 and our big gift evening :-)
Here you see some of my mice - I have made this tablerunner as a Christmas gift for.... Oh no.. Hehe.. Still AnnAka pattern... Wow she are a great pattern maker... :-)
This Desember has been strange so far. not mutch snow and cold . But some great mornings.Look at trhis beautifull sky. We are so luckey in Norway that the sun get up so late so even I are able to se the beauty it makes :-)
There are a lot of busy "people" eating the food on my birdshouse. I love to watch them . Hoping that I give them a great day- as they make mine :-)

I will spend my Advent with more angels... Yes - another AnnAka patter.. The lady keep me realy busy.. Hope to show you what I'm working on next time. Untill then enjoy Advent and remember to take some breakof...

Focus on Christmas

I'm focus on Christmas gifts and SCSS gifts this days. My SCSS items are almost done,less than one hour work left to do... I have also manage to do some small items "just because"This is my new Angel-pillow." Myke puteengler" a AnnAKa pattern ( soft pillow angles) I love the pattern so I had to give it a try.It suit beside my old Snowman pillow.Just need some snow outside now, then there will be Christmas feeling in my house.
I still play with my selvages... here are three small purses from leftovers...Two for Christmasgift and one for me ... :-)
I got a new Mollie makes magasine in my hand last time I was in Oslo. This time there where a kit for making buttons.Cute buttons..

I have also made me a new tablerunner. Another AnnAKa pattern. This time from a Norwegian quilt magasine. Quiltemagasinet.
But now I'm off to make more Christmas gifts - I have a lot of bindings infront of me..

Meet my new little friend. I just had to try to do this little guy, he was so funny and easy to make so I belive he will got more friends.Hmmm may be some small Christmas gifts??
The Ocktober challenge are also done :-) I love the fabrics with the flowers and the deers.So now Lappemor we are ready for your next parcel....
All my stars are done to... It turned out to be "Annas lille veggteppe" ( Annas little wallquilt) Another great pattern from AnnAKa. I manage to do all of it just from my Japanese fabrics.And ther are still plenty left.... Hmmmm
This is the most beautifull outdoor bird I know here in Norway , a Bullfinch. There has been three of them living in my garden all through the summer. I took this photo some week ago when we got snow. The snow are gone for now, but it will be back... Sooner or later..

I know I'm still a lazy blogger.... but at last Magda and I have been playing.. Some one told me about some ladies who sew stitchery with their sewing machines, so I had to try it, and I manage to do it- or Magda did. So this table runner are all made by Magda. I belive I will try stitching with her again some time, there are only one problem - I can't stitch and watch TV :-)
My flower from last post has got finish too. It was the flowers for a cloth. I found the pattern on Debbie Mumms Facebook side. A sweet great, pink canser project.
There are diffrent animal life in my garden. This time it is the squirrel who says "Hello" and grab some Sunflower seed. The snow came and left again- so there are still fall and fog around here...
By the way I have found me a new "must have"magasine. Mollie makes are filled with new ideas and a lot to read.. And it come with kits :-) Look at this cute little porch I made from the latest number. Next number got buttons.. Guess who must have it...
I wish you could have seen my flor to nigth.. I got 4 tablerunnere lying on it...Some ready for binding ( not mine) and some ready to quilt (mine)To morrow I will have a quilt-day.. A lot to show you later... Did you notise I say Later - not soon :-D And I have some SSCS projects going on ..

Playing with flowers and stars....

The last week I have been busy playing with flowers and stars - and stated to stitch again after a -for me- long break. I have manage to do this months callenge with the Christmas fabrics Vigdis and I got from Lappemor. Stars of course and I used the leftovers for a little table mat. So now I can just relax and wait for the next mailing... :-)
I have also made a little tablerunner from left overs I got from my mum... More flowers. Fun and easy to make - Vigdis has borrowed the pattern,and I can't remember who made it. But it is Norwegian.
Yesterday I got some real flowers - aren't they beautifull :-)They are on my table and brighten my day, and I need to remember the summer who never came... Now it is dark outside early in the evening and cold. Just now it is about - 2 degrees outside. Brrrrr it will soon be snow and winter.
Back to my flowers and stars- here are more of what I'm playing with during my days... I have some stitcherys done to match my stars and the flowers are almost done... The last project I just had to try was to make stitcherys with Magda ( my sewing machine) and it worked out fine.. fine for me that is - as the first attempt...
So now I hope to have a lot more to show you soon... I will have a sewing week in front of me- before I'm of to have some fun with Emma and Peder ....

Trip to Bergen...

I have been(are?) a lazy blogger,but I have been busy. Organize my fabrics and my sewing room,I deside to cut the selvage of from all my fabrics, so I easy can start to play with them. My head are spining with new ideas... So when I was in Bergen , for the first time, of'course I have to look after some funny one. What to do with the fabrics I don't know... Her you can see the famous Wharf of Bergen.
And here are the view from the Hotell where we where staying. Next year NQFs annual meeting are taking place here. So you ladies in Norway, who are comming, you have a lot of fun in front of you:-)
Blogline and I have a discussion about in witch order my photo come to the blog( I loose...)
But any whay. This is a little bag I made for Nemo, with selvage of'course.. Most of them from her fabrics...
So back to Bergen.. Look at this great Pirate ship... But there was no Pirate to see.....
More selvages... a lot more... a Mug Rug for me.. Can you see the cute birds and elephants...No you can see why I look for cute selvages...
a little purse, this time with ties from diffrent shops.I whish every shop got one with their name on it... A new item to collect :-)

Two mug rugs for Peder- to put his bottle on. A need for a very young man :-)
A need for a grand mother (me).. I got the selvage from this lovely frabrics from Nemo,and it remind me of The Beatles and my youth, so I had to collect more "look a like"- selvages and make me this little pouch.

So now with almost all of my fabrics tidy,I can start to ponder what to make next... Chritmas present... Hmmm a great idea...

Triflers...

After beeing a clever UFO-hunter I just HAD to make someting small and easy... And start to play with new fabrics and ideas. I found some small square saucers I culd use with my cups from Søstrene Greene. So I had to make me new costers... Realy need it. New fabrics and new idea... Yessss... :-)

I have also atlast manage to play with my selvage edges.. I got a great kick after the visit from Nothern Quilts at our quilt meeting last Thursday. Take a look at May Britts Blog.. So when I got in the car on our way back home, my mind start spinning. The handbag was the first attempt and it was so fun so I had to do the shoulderbag. This are from an old pattern made by Bjørg. I great friend of me, sadly no blog... I'm so lucky to have a lot of more selvage edges... I got more ideas... ;-)
More new ideas and new fabrics... I got Christmas fabrics from Lappemor and halve it with my friend Vigdis. And she gave me ( us) a challenge...we had to do something of the fabrics when they are fresh- a tough act :-) But here are mine tablerunner... I used almost all of the Scandinavian Christmas fabrics by Lynette Anderson :-)

So back for some more UFO items.. This tablerunner done atlas :-) Another Bjørg pattern.With a lot of Quilting. I got more Bjørg items in my UFO pile, so I hope I have more to show soon.
More from my UFO pile. A leftover from a Jinny Beyer quilt,with to small fabrics to make the border, so I deside to make roses. The suddenly my Blanket stitch-refusal hit me.. and it fell into the UFO pile. Now I deside to use Magda and suddenly it was done..
The last of my finishes this time are Mug rugs made of leftovers and selvage edges from the Christmas fabrics... Hope you can see the birds on the edges , they are sooo cute :-)
I can't wait untill the next Christmas fabrics parcel arrive.... Hmmm what to do then.. :-)

Old Magazines - new ideas...

The house has been sooo quilet lately. After all my summer-guests went home, I have been busy doing a lot of housework, cleaning,paiting every thing to make myself busy... In the end I found a lot of old magazines. Australian Patchwork and quilting...and they was just like new one. I found a lot of great ideas.. Jacke's stars.. I had to try to make some of my Debbie Mumms fabrics.. I have a plan, but I need 60 star- blocks. So this is a long time plan...
I also found this idea witch Magda are playing with...It is called Brodie's Quilt.In the magazine they have made it in 1930 reproduction print fabrics,but I had to use mine Little quilt fabrics.Now I'm wondering if fabrics who has been saved for several years waiting for The True Pattern and Idea are an UFO ? :-)
To day I got some great mailings, the Special Summer 2011 magazine of Quiltmania and block 2 of Pies and Tarts. And would you belive block 1 are done .... So now I have to start on block 2. 20 new circles to make... It is great to have somthing to do when fall are stealing upon us...
As you can see at the potos it is fall....
Rosebay willow herb or "elmørkje" ( ligth in dark) as I call it in my dialect. It is the flower of Hedmark county where I live...
A lonly Oxeye Daisy or "prestekrage" (Rectors collar) Flowers are so beautifull, but snow are too... Every season its charm .....
UPS.. did I forgett to show the great work of Magda,, LOL Tatam.. here it is.my own kind of Brodie's quilt. Look at all the Bonnet Girls.. I have decide it is a UFO, just lying quilet waiting to be born :-))

En of July...

I manage to finish my Girlish quilt in the last days of July. It is a result from one of my deep seek in my UFO pile. Made from two BOM's. The Breast of Friends from Homespun and The GG BOM by Red Brolly.And a lot of my "why on earth did I buy this" fabrics.This time I try to use my pink and strange girl fabrics...
I manage to use a lot on the back of the quilt, but belive it or not I got more... So now I have to stay focus in August too hoping to get ready more of my "secret" UFO's LOL And belive me there are plenty to work on..
At last we got sunshine here too. This beautiful sky happend some days ago. A suggestive end of a horible July here in Norway. So now I hope for a quilet and calm August. At my place it is empty and soooo quilet. My summer guests are safe back at their home and ready for work.
I wonder if they took one of the walls with them.... No one are calling for EMMA... or telling Peder are staying on the toilet... Oh I miss them, but hope to see them all again soon. :-)

Thinking and sewing....

This last days has been a time for a lot of thinking about life and dead and happiness and sorrow.I'm so luckey that all from my family stayd safe after all the awful happening in Oslo and Utøya. I feel so blessed,but feel so mutch sorrow for who lost someone. In times like this it is great to have some "not-have-to-think"-work to do.So I does PP and bindings.All my "Snippe-spekulasjoner" blocks are done. Approved by Cyan.
My Calendar Cat Quilt are also done.. It turned out to be a Winter quilt with thick Norwegian wool batting.. So now I'm prepare for cold winter weather, but I need summer first...
This is what I hope to get done soon. Some of them are done-- The Cat quilt .... and a little table runner.... and almost the Girlish quilt...
Here are the table runner,my own idea. The blocks are made from a gift I got, on the last fair we went too, when I work at Little stasjon. So this are a little memory quilt. The small stitchery houses are from a Japanese book. The Runner bring back a lot of great memories.
But now it is back to my bindings.

Focus-focus and more focus....

I'm still focused at all my UFO's. The more I do the more forgotten UFO's get out into the dayligth.. One who suddenly came out from the darkness only miss some leaf on the last block. I realy wonder why I didn't finish it... But now it is the next to be done... I just have to finish this pink girlish quilt... The top are done, I have to make the back ...
I have dig deep into my fabrick pile to find crazy girlish fabrics to make the backing... Still wondering why I realy bought these fabrics... But now I will use them. At last :-)
Yes I'm still focus on A Kittens Tale.. Almost done, I have desided not to do the two last blocks. I need a new quilt on the wall over my sofa.Leannes House need a rest , and Down in my Garden are still a UFO, and going to be one for a long time yet... I hope to start with the oldest UFO's and work me up to the newest...
To morrow I'm going on a Quilt Shop trip. I need only fabrics for the border on A K T and batting , but knowing my self I'm sure I manage to find something I don't know I need...
Wonder what that will be.....

Still Focus.....

This summer I'm so luckey to be able to have some of my quilting items for sale in the shop at the Museum here in Trysil.
Here you can see some of my items with some of the other items for sale. A lot of lovely items. Knitting, sewing, glass works,wood work,cards,rugs .... a lot of great gifts ideas..
And look at thise old bed....It was fun to decorate the old house with sale items.
At home I have been focus on my UFO pile.... This is the progress on A Kittens Tale... Still wonder why I stop making it... But now I hope to have it on my wall realy fast :-)
I have been playing with my Girlish Quilt too.... As some of you may be notice it is made from two diffrent UFO's... I put it together with some of my Cake and Cupcake fabrics. ( wonder why I buy all these odd fabrics... But they are great to play with LOL )

At last I want to tell you there are a Give away going on at Nemo's blog... A great Norwegian book... Just in case you want to be a part of it. :-)

Counting my Blessings....

To day May Britt , Hanne and I have been digging deep into our UFO piles , and this is my BOM pile... Hmmm it seems i have some work to do. The most difficult decision are "where to start - witch BOM wins?"....
Here are the winner... A kittens Tale..I have been working on block 3 today, and it is almost done.. I have also manage to do 30 Pinwheel blocks for the quilt... This are going to be my focus now....
But in the UFO pile there were other treasures... some blocks from other BOMs , now I'm going to make me a Girlish quilt. Just because... Hope to show you realy soon.... :-))
I have manage to finish someting also... two tiny pincushions made from screw caps from Cola bottels. Cute and fun to make .-)
Nemo and I also made us a sewing boxes after a Sue Daley pattern. Isn't it great. It looks great on the table where I stitch and do my hand sewing.
At last but not least.... My In the Garden are done..... Not exact as it was ment to be.. but why shall one read the pattern ... LOL... and there are some slip in it... But it is mine and I love it.
In the end i will show you my new "bunch of flowers"..I got all this thread together with more Debbie Mumm fabrics from Hanne. Thank you Hanne I love the Mailbox surprice. :-)

Ok, this are what are going on here by me now, I will be clever and work hard to reduce my UFO pile...Hope to show you some progress soon..

Summer time....

To day
some of my friends from Elverum come for a visit..... So I had to keep my promise from a long time ago... I had to make cup cakes and fill the cake stand. Cup cakes are fun and easy to make, it is the decorate who take time .. and are the most fun.
We had a great day on the porch.. It was a sunny, warm day... At last I hope the summer time are her to stay. It is so great to be able to sit outside and stitch again after the long winter...
I have been doing a lot of cooking the last week... Some days ago it was summer end in my Quilt grup too.... For them I had to try Leannes Raspberry Crumble from Vignette issue 2.. and yes I made it with Cloudberries. I served it with ice cream.. It tasted soooo great, I know I will make it again. :-)

This evening was a cold one , so we had to sit in doors... it looks like we had to have a lot of liqueur to stay warm, but we didn't drink it all..... A lot of stitching and laughing this evening too...
I have got some new friends in my garden too after my birdhouse was repaired and home again.. a busy little brown fellow... the sweetest little squirrel, who dare to come and have some food even when we are sitting on the porch talking....
and a boy and a girl Bullfinch. For a day or two I belive they was looking for hireing the top floor.. As you can see on the photo the boy are trying to get the girl closer to have a better look at the flat :-) I belive she prefer a quiet nest out in the woods, and just come and get some food by me...
I have not only been cooking and chatting with my friends lately, I have manage to do some "real" work too.... I have manage to make me a new sewing folder... Done atlast, I bought the pattern in Gøteborg 2 years ago... Lot of work, but done now. One UFO less. ;-)

I'm still playing with Paper Piceses and hope to have more to show next time, untill then I hope the summer are here to stay..

Something done.... at last ...

I have been a slow blogger latly... but it is not just me, when I tryed to blog -blogline was down..may be we got spring-relaxed both of us :-))
But now atlast I have a lot to show. First the result from the block exchange.. Here are mine. I made a lap quilt after an idea from an old Quiltmania magazine. (nov/des 2009)
Randi made more stars and got a beautifull little quilt...
Brita made a great quilt with a gost block in the middle....
Kjerstin made herself a lovely table runner...
Vigdis also made a table runner. It suit perfect on her table ...
Tone made a long table runner. A great idea for the party table. It is so fun to see how different all the items turned out. Now it is Kjerstin who are organize the challenge in 2012
It will be fun to see what block she want us to do :-)
This winter my birdhouse has been away for a renovation. This week I got it back- and it looks soooo great. Now can the birds get their seed and the Squirrels a place for a nap. :-) A big thank you to the cabinet maker Jan.
At last I want to show you my Svennebrev ( craft certificate) a pattern from Lappemakeriet. All done in Debbie Mumm fabrics. I manage atlast to start use them. Guess who feel great :-) This will be my summer quilt, I use silk batting, for the first time , but not the last... Beautifull to work with.
I only use DM fabrics on the back of the quilt too.I hope they will give me sweet dreams...

Now I got more ideas of what to make for the rest of the DM fabrics... Hope to start soon, so may be next time there are more to show...

I spend some days in Oslo after Easter- beautifull sunny days- almost summer. Look at these trees. I don't know the name- but they was soo great after a long and cold winter. I love the pink tree...
And this.. a great withe tree. I had to try to get a close look at the beautifull flowers... April here in south part of Norway has been the warmest in a long time... But easy come ...
easy goes... This is how was in my garden this morning :-( I won't have more snow now I want summer ... But it went to a great sewing day. I have spend most of the day in my sewing room.. And yes I have a lot on my mind and on my Want To Do list...
I have manage to do one little finish.. the second of the Pincushions from the Make and Bake club by Busyfingers... Sweet and useful. It is English Paper Pieced... I didn't belive I would enjoy making PP this mutch...
I realy have a lot going on with Paper.... Flowers for the Hexagon quilt from Vignette - Snippespekulasjoner from Lappemakeriet -a little Octagon quilt ( just because..) -It Takes Two by Sue Daley...Guess if I love the Glue pen from Sewline :-) I went to the lecture by Sue Daley at Katrines Quiltestue. And learn a lot about how to work with PP , a lot of tip and new ways to do PP :-)
I have been knitting a little lately - bad influence by Nemo :-) she has been knitting cloths for dishes. I as so luckey to get one - but I had to start making more. It is so fun to play with all the great colours..
Talking about playing... At last I have started to play with all my Debbie Mumm fabrics, I got a lot, thanks to Anne- Kjerstin, Hanne, Bjørg, May Britt , Irene and Tonje..and I love every inch of them.. (The fabrics that is...)Isn't this a lovely pile a lot of sweet memories and some who are new to me... Thank you Girls :-) you are so kind and sweet :-)
I have started to make "Svennebrev" (craft certificate) a great block quilt by Lappemakeriet.(This quilt on the photo are made by Hanne:-) ) I have made these 9 blocks so fare, but hope to make the whole quilt fast... It is so fun to use Magda ( my sewing machine) again.. Great girl she are :-))
To tell a secret.. I got one more finish this month.. but I can't show it yet. It is a block swap. Once a year 8 ladies swap blocks and make what we want from them, then we all meet one evening and have a show and tell... To morrow is this years great happening... I hardly can wait and see what the other ladies has made.... mine are.... Oh Now - you have to wait untill next time , then I will show you..
I have a lot going on for the rest of this week - a lot of happenings including Quilt ladies. Tell you more next time ... soon I hope. Untill then take care and happy stitching :-)

Good-bye Winter...

Last week Irene (no blog) and I went to visit Lappemor at Tynset. We went from my home and a little diffrent way for Irene. A calm and quiet road, we onlt saw 4 cars for 150 km. But we saw a lot of beautifull scenery... sutch as these mountains. Great for skiing in easter-- fore those who goes on cross-country skiing... Hmm.. not me . I prefer easter on the porch :-)
Irene and I had a great time at Lappemor- and yes, we found a lot to buy :-) The reason Irene are laughing are that most of the buying are mine... I wonder why...( may be because Irene was visting Lappemor just a few days earliere...)
I have not been in Lappemors new store... This is just a little glimpse. It is a great Quilt store with a lot of temptations. If you drive by Tynset-- You have to stop :-))
The last months has been busy for me , with a lot of travelling up and down Norway.. So i feel great manage to have two small finishes in April.. A little bag for Peder, to store his Duplo in. And a beautibag for all of Emmas stuff for the hair and so on..
I got some grat mail last week too--- Love Cats by Natalie Ross. I won it in her giveaway. Thank you Natalie... Now I just have to be able to find time to make me a turquoise cat :-)

I have a lot on my must do list.... I still make hexagons. More than 30 flowers now... and i have some Quilting I want to do... and so on. Later this week I'm going to a lecture by Sue Daley at Katrines Quiltestue. Wonder if I shall sit on my hands so I don't come home with a lot more MUST HAVE items...

Norway lengthwise ...

I have been a lazy blogger lately... Once again... But I have travelled a lot, up and down in Norway. And had a lot of fun .. This is a glimpse from Karl Johan , the main street in Oslo, during World Championship on ski. By day time LOL I went to one of the Reward distributions, just to have been there. I could not see anything just a part of one of the big TV screens. There where 100 000 peoples gatherd just to cheer. wish you all could hear the sound of the national anthem...
My next travell was to Tromsø and NQF annual quilt meeting 2011...
This is Ishavs katedralen ( The Arctic cathedral) by nigth. There where a beautifull consert just for us, NQF ladies.
We ladies from the southern part of Norway had to try every thing Tromsø are known fore...( In Norway) Here at Rorbua drinking Mack beer... Irene got a lot of beer( just as for 10 years don't like beer... )but the Fish soup and water was great :-)
More food, this time at Skarven. Water and coffe fore me and Bacalao- tasted for the first time :-)

Some of us even manage to take the cableway to one of the mountain tops... It was the only trip that day, to mutch wind. 22 m/sec... Scarey but fun, and guss how proud we where after.. :-)

Once more a little trip to Oslo - spring are just around the corner... I saw one little Crocus...
Here in Trysil I have had my last walk in the Ice road across the river. The snow are melting and there are water in the "road"...

But it means SPRING.

Feeling of spring...

This is how my garden looks to day, still I got a spring feeling. The sun feels a little warmer every day , but cold nigths. - 20 degrees tonigth...
But I see I got spring feelings in my work now.... I want colours...More than white - greay and blue...
So I start discreet... I found 6 of the basket blocks from Bunny Hill... and some soft pink and brown...nice start... Then i found the brown with roses.. beautifull fabric, but not enough for the borders.... then the spring feeling take off..... I found the pink fabric with small girls on ... eccentric but I love it :-) The little quilt made me think of "trollkrem" ( a dessert made of mountain cranberry- because of the colour :-)
Then I got more happy colours in mail - the first of the Make and Bake club... Great red fabrics - a little superbob thread-a recipe and a pincushion pattern... So now I have to deside what fabric to cut in .... I got this from Patchwork with Busyfingers. Love it ;-)
Then I realy got the spring feeling..And start to realy play with colours... I got Vignette in mail and fell for Leanne's Hexagon Quilt - me who don't like to make hexagons, fell realy hard. I have to do a quilt with all that great colours and look at the stitchery hexagons... :-)
So now I'm playing with leftovers and brigth colours. I have found some great helping tools... Sewline gluepen- a MUST have - The Bottom Line superior thread and Milliners Needles.. + a new scissors.... The little green box are filled with hexagons ready to be flowers... So now I'm going to make me some spring flowers :-)
This are my new magasines , who are filled with new temtations of items to make ...
It feel like there are going to be a busy spring... wonder if I have to sleep at nigth...

Still playing with UFO's...

To day my little mobile and I was luckey.We got a "mobile mitten"
Vigdis made one for her mobile some days ago - and we envy her mobile his mitten ... She are a fast knitter...I'm a veeeery slow one :-)
But to day when Lisbeth - another fast knitter- come over for some coffe and chatt.. she gave me this mitten. Luckey me :-) Thank you Lisbeth, We love it :-)
I have been quite busy for the last days... Making more Japanese Boxes... Still fun , but I have started to think how to make the border... I have seen some great appique borders, but I don't remember where- so now I'm looking to old books and magazines for some ideas...
Me and Magda has been working a lot the last week. First we have done this beautifull place mats. I got it as a kit for Christmas from my friend Bjørg. She are a great designer. I feel so luckey to get make some of her designs. :-)
Magda and I have also - at last -manage to finish this UFO.. Simple Pleasures by Anni Downs. I stitch all the small stitcheryies in 2008...and made the top 2009... but forgot to read the pattern.... Hmmmm. so I forgot one white border...ok back to the UFO pile with it... Refound last year.. what to do with it ... RICk-RACK is the answer.. and buttons on the last border. Old buttons :-) So this is my way of Simple Pleasures. :-)

I just have to show you another of my Christmas gifts.. From Emms and her mum.. A Cup Cake stand. Isn't it just great.So now I know what to make the next time I got some quilting girls over for coffe :-)

Ufo- attack...

There has been a sort of a UFO- attack in my home lately. When I decide to organize my sewing area there pop out a lot of new and old ideas -- read UFO's.. And a lot of them are realy great and I want to do every one of them ... No wonder it is hard to sleep... I even found book and magazines... Terrible :-)) This little wallquilt are a start of somthing I found in a new magazine. Quiltmania nr 81. And of course I had to start making it, but just a small one - remember I "hate" to work with Paper Pieces... LOL But I couldn't help trying to do this Japanese Boxes. It is so fun to make geometricale shapes....
This is a very old UFO, just poping up from the dark forgettfulness :-) Once again Paper Pieces...All made by left overs a long time ago....Now I have to find a special frame to put on it. I got some idea... once again with Paper Pieces.... Hope to show you soon... I love this little item, hard work to put it to gether , but now I hope you can see there are no start or end of the triangle.... I saw it on an old Frenche magazine year and year ago...... Don't know what magazine of who the author are...
Oh - yes I have manage to do some finishes also... A table runner from Nothern Quilts and another after an idea on the net.... Magda has been lending me a helping needle with this :-)
She has also had a needle or two on this Christmas Basket by Red Brolly...Fun to stitch, but not so easy to get perfect together... I have store it with my Christmas decorations,It will be fun to find and use in December..

Now I'm off to do more of my Paper Pieces... I have to work fast, so I don't remember that I " hate" to that.

Playing with Magda..

I have been clever so far this year.. wonder how long it will last :-)
But this is what Magda and I have been playing with ... The first are a "mail joy" I got from Hanne just before christmas... Isn't great :-) Thank you Hanne. it will be on my wall next Christmas
Magda and I have been digging deep in my UFO pile and have two more finish this month... Realy old tablerunners.. The pattern are AnnAKa's - aboth two years old -- I belive LOL but on the pattern it says 2005 - and I started to make the when it was fresh pattern.. Oh dear times runs.. But now they are done.. It is so fun to do Buttonhole stitches with Magda. I use to get Buttonhole stitches-refusal , but now I feel those days are gone :-)
I got to show you my new thimbles too, Christmas gifts ( luckey me) The Polska one I got from my aunt Astri and the one from Australia I got from Sølvi. Thank you so mutch both of you. I even got some fabrics from them --- What I make of it I will show when it is done :-)
I got a big surprice in my mail box just before New year... A letter from Japan :-) A thimble with traditional design and a hankerchief with small rabitsall over. I can't use it as a hankerchef... It is so beautifull , so by me it is going to be a little tablerunner to bring me good luck. This year are the rabits year in Japan. Thank you Julie, you are so kind to me. I will find you a little from Norway and send to you too :-)
At last I want to wish you all a happy new year - with or with out rabbits :-)
I was with Emma and Peder on the last nigth of 2010.. here they are looking at some "Stjerneskudd" I don't know the English name of it- but it is some sticks when set on fire they will make" stars"...

My SSCS 2010 gift.... this year I got it from Kris.. Thank you Kris I love it. Look I got this great bag. If I'm clever in 2011 I will fill it with gifts for Christmas made all through the year... Hm In my dreams may be...
When I got the bag this great Australian items was in it... A little cross stitchery, pencils, notpad, pot holders and a lot of chocolate.A great present. Thank you Donna for making all this fun happen.... Next year tooo ??? I do hope so :-)
I hope you all are having a great Christmas time... Jacob are pleased with "his" Christmas tree... So pleased as he walk on my data all the time...just to look at it ... or may be to eat a little on it.He are not easy to put in his cage in the evening, he are yelling and making a lot of noise, not easy for "santas litle helper" to go to sleep... ( I wonder if Jacob are a bit spoilt... )
Who Santas little helper are.... Emma of course... Are she not cute in her Santa dress :-) I'm so luckey to have her and her mum cellebrating Christmas here with me. :-)
This Christmas has been a binding - Christmas for me.... Magda ( my new sewingmashine) and I had some serious "get to know each other"-days. So stipling and binding was a great way to start:-) So now I got more on my OPAM 2010 list... 2 tablerunners..... One are a realy UFO and the other after a Annaka pattern, with a twist.... ( I have to learn to read the pattern)

Magda and I also start to make Mug rugs.... One for me...
Two for Nemo and her boy friend...
Four more as Christmas gifts....
I also manage to make some tablerunnere... two in red...
and two ligth one.. I made this 4 tablerunnere a while ago, but as it was Christmas gifts I could not show them earlier.... So now my list for the OPAM 2010 are compled....
I was hoping to reduce my UFO pile, but I don't tink I did that... So I hope to start 2011 in the pile.... Hm I belive I hear some one are having a nasty laugh.... Ok , ok I belive we all try the same...

But as this are my last blog in 2010 I want to wish you all a Happy New Year...

Busy December....

I got a visit from "Santa" a few days ago....He didn't use Rudolf to bring my present, but a big truck. The parsel he brought with him was big too :-) Early Christmas for me.. :-)
Still I have mutch more to look forward to... - Meeting Peder and his parents - and Christmas visit of Emma and her mum, mutch more importen than my gift for myself, but the gift are somthing to "play" with after Christmas too..... Hmmm what the gift are..... LOL
My new sewing machine... Janome, Horizon,Memory Craft 7700 QCP. I have been playing a little with her, and she are GREAT. I have a lot to learn - so there are going to be fun to play with her after Christmas. I have a lot of UFO's to finish. I can't show you what we have been working on, 7700 and I( got to give her a name, but what shall I name her?? ) We have been making gifts for Christmas. A lot of bindings for me to do now.. :-)
I have got some great mailings lately too... My SSCS gift, with these lovely Christmas Ornaments . My secred Santa are Kris . She send me a big packet too - I wonder what it is, but I have been clever and put it avay untill Christmas. Thank you Kris and a big hug to Donna for making all this fun happen this year too ;-)
I have been busy this December... I have been on a quick trip to France visiting my brother and his boys just outside Nice. I brougth Christmas gift with me and got a lot with me home... Almost like Santa :-)
The view from their posh was fantastic. A lot diffrent from what I see here in the woods. LOL
It was a busy trip, with a lot of fun. I was so luckey to be able to come with the boys to their Christmas party at school, and meet the French Santa. No gift for me, but all the kids got :-)
I manage to grab some magazines to bring home with me.. More I want to make. I wish we could get these magazines in Norway...
It is a lot diffrent from France, the view from my posh, but they are both beautifull. Look at this cold winter sky. It is sunrise in -20 degrees..The world are beautifull- we just have to stop for a moment and enjoy it.
In the end of this blog I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas , hope you all will take a moment and look for the beauty in life. This photo are taken out of the bus window on my trip to France. This morning the world was blue and cold - 25 degree., I wonder how many small santas was looking at the bus. :-)

Small finishes and big secrets...

Emma has a big secret to tell Peder... and a lot to learn him... the seret is.... It is soon Cheristmas. Emmas second - Peders first. :-)
Peder are practice his crawling.... May be Emma has told hin about all the gifts under the tree??
I know it will be a lot of gifts for them both... and some for the rest of us too.... LoL

I know I got a lot of secrets in my Advent calendar. I'm so luckey to get the calendar from Quiltegården as a gift. I had to order two of my santas to guard it. No peeping - I promice ;-)
It shuold have been some guarding on the coffetable saturnday. Quess who helped him self with some chocolate when I walk my quests to the front door... Jacob just had to get some Saturday candy...

Last month I was soo lucky to win a gift from OPAM 2010.Look what I got...Christmas Jingles a pattern from Natalie Ross- Great fabrics ( I think what to make of them ..) -Message Pads and a pen. Thank you Kris and Peg for hosting this. I love my gifts ;-)
Talking about OPAM 2010 - I manage to do some more small finish this monath. Larry the Lamb , a wool pincushion.It is almost to sweet to use. I have to play more with wool- it is fun and easy :-)
I have done some tiny stitcheries... to decorate for Christmas.Happy holidays from Blueberry Backroads. As a member of SSCS 2010 I'm going to get more to put on the tree. :-)
At last I want to show you what I have been doing to day.. I took May Britts challenge and start to make Mug-Rugs. Great little christmas gifts.. and a fun way to use some of my leftovers. But the more I make - the more new ideas I get....
The Rug in front has a stitcery I got in a class with May Britt some weeks ago. So thank you May Britt for giving me all this inspirasjon... To morrow I'm going to start making more Rugs... There are more leftovers crying to be used..

Snow at last...

At last the snow has come.. no more dark evenings. To day I went outside and found the snow sticky. So i had to make me a snow-lantern. I put a candle in it and ligth it this evening. It is beautiful.
Yesterday I went to a class with May Britt- it was needleturn workshop. A lot of A-ha from the girls. We all enjoy the class, and did great work..I will show mine next time .. It is not all done yet.
A lot of busy girls, not only sewing we also did a lot of chatting :-)
May Britt was staying at mine house.. We had a great evening with sewing and chatting... and a little wine:-) May Britt brought some kit - Christmas Bauble by Hatched and Patched. They was so great so I had to make some of my own...
It is my first attempt to use wool- felt. Funn and easy- I have to make more from it. I got the Felt at Katrines Quilte Stue the last time I went there. So here are my first finish this month.A Christmas Bauble...
Yesterday I got this wonderfull parsell in mail from Sølvi.Two thimbles , one from Røros and one from Rørvik. And look at the sockings. Not for everyday use.Thank you Sølvi - I love it all. Hugs :-)
There has been a lot of change in my house. I got a great joiner to do all the hard work. I'm going to hire out a part of the house. It is to big for me alone. So when May Britt got here, she brought new tools with her. I asked her to go and buy it after I saw it in a advertising. Ladies tool... all pink. So now I can decorate my wall by my self :-) All my photos and quilts are moving around...
This is my new sewing area in the sitting room. I can watch TV when I sew...
And here are my new wall- almost done. All the skirting are missing, but I got the Yuletide Joy Quilt on the wall -- Early start of the christmas season this year LOL I love the look of my sitting room now. And to morrow Jacob are comming home from his trip. Wonder what he will think of our new home :-)

Still making Bags...

I have been clever this week - at last I manage to start my sewing machine LOL...
This is another bag from the Bagalicious Club by QFD. Pita Bag by Sue Daley Designs. A sweet little bag - realy fun to make. I have got kit nr 7. So I know what I have to start to make as soon as posible :-)

This little button I have only coloured - all by myself ;-) Hugs'n Kisses button from 2008. Lost in my UFO pile- suddenly spotted , now done :-) I wonder why something just remain undone for so long.... Or is it just by me it happen??
I still make bags-- It is so fun . This is a Lommerusk (pocket fluff) kit from Nothern Quilts. I manage to make more two from the kit... One for me and one for a friend... The saying are from a Norwegian song.. (If you be the owner of a thousands plums....) So now I got a new bag for my stitchery kits.
I have also manage to do this Weekend bag for a friend. Easy to make and it take what ever you need for a long weekend or more. I got one myself and use it when I go for a visit to my girls..
I feel so great starting to use my new sewing room- My next projects are Christmas gifts.. I suddenly discover it is only two months left.....
Last sunday my brother and I went to the family cabbin deep in the woods here in Trysil. I live behind the montain in the middle of the photo. It was a cold day and there was ice on the lake. It was so quiet that we could hear the ice getting thicker. A strange sound almost like the sound of whales under water.
A fun and great adventure to keep in mind ;-)

Start of the "Quilt Seasong"....

To days photo are from the bridge and as you can see the last days windy weather has made all the leaves disappear. It was 3 degress below zero this morning, so now the nature are prepare for winter and snow. Now it is time to start "the quilt" season, as they call it in the Elm Creek book I'm reading now. I got The Aloha Quilts as my bed-reading. Great book - but I read english realy slow :-)
My thimble collection are still growing thanks to great friend ... This two are from the northern part of Norway.Harstad, where my mother spend most of her childhood, and The Artctic Circle. Thank you Nancy and May Britt. ;-) I have never been so far north., but a great dream of mine are to take a trip with the Hurtigruta. In Mach next year I'm going to Tromsø - NQF annual meeting are going to be there. Guess ho are looking forward to be there and meet all the other quilting ladies......

I have been clever and manage to do a little Quilting so far this month .... a little wall quilt to hang over my bed.I love the fabrics in the frame- I hope you can see all the small angels.
I have also made Emma a knitted sweater to use in the kindergarten.- I hope she and her mum like it... ;-)
The kids are growing- Here are Peder with his new bibs. He got them the last time I saw him. It is a fun and useful way to use funny fabrics :-) Peder are a big boy now with two teeth.
And Emma are almost ready to walk out to meet the world- the carriage are safe to walk with --- just in case. ;-)
It will be so fun to meet them again soon...

Start of the dark fall...

Now it is the start of the dark time of the year... It is the time when I love to sit inside and stitch by the fire...
I have manage to get some finish this last week... I have to start to use my new sewing area... So after a year Butterfly Bouquet are done. I start to make it at Quiltegården when Leanne and Gail where in Norway.
The other finish this time are a coat for Peder. I belive he need it now- the summer are gone in Oslo too.
I even got some new thimbles to show you. I got them from Bjørg- I don't remember where it is from ( Bad memory?? ), Lisbeth from Riga and my brother Bjørn who has been on Svalbard. Thank you all, I love the thimbles.
Guess who are feelig great?? I'm done with the challenge from the quiltguild. It is Abyquilt who are giving us this challenge...Two new blocks next month, a new little quilt by summer. Fun ;-)

I promise her , May Britt to show photos from my new sewing rooms, when it is all done and every thing are tidy... Well as tidy as it can be... Ok I have to get up some little curtain here to spare the fabric...

I got a new sewing room , to tell the true - I got two. Not all done yet, but I have to show you. May Britt and I have had a busy weekend. And to day Bjørg came and help us. ;-)
To get all the photos in correct order you have to start at the bottom .... ( I'm tired and bloglines are" lazy"so you can do what you want by it .... ;-)

This is the end of my "old" sewing area.. Now it will be the living room in the hiring out part of my house, as it use to be.. Easy come - easy go...

Indian summer .... Soon ???

I have been on a day trip to my friend Lisbeth's (no blog) cabin.Her family has a beautifull cabin not far from here - with a lot of quilts.. But I didn't got photos from inside... I will show you next time I visit the cabin. I hope it will be soon. But I got a photo of the view. Isn't Trysil great ? ;-)
This summer there has been a challenge in my Quilt association. We got a small piece of the figured fabric -- and this is my little quilt. A little sewing boks with a lot of sewing tool. ( buttons)
If you go her you can see what the other did... Lots of great work.
I have also manage to do the 5. of the bags from the Bagalicious Club... Melly and Me great Sunrise bag . I have not been able to do the Wallet yet- but all the pieces are on my sewing table... So I promice it will be done ;-)... This is a great club hosting by Sarah at QFD. And I know the next bag are in mail .. More to look forward to ;-)))
I have also done the two first blocks of Lynette's In my Garden BOM. And yes I can't put them next to each other.... I used the same fabrics on the last border... I didn't notice untill it was all done .... I have to concentrate on the next block ;-)
Here where I live fall has realy put his foot down now... It has been a lot of rain and this nigth was cold. Below zero... Brrrrr... So I have to enjoy my indors flower... Jacob are tasting the berries on my " Kunskapens tre" I don't know the English or the Latin name of this flower...
But it taste like "shit" Jacob tell me ... and let it stay.. ;-))They told me in the Flower Shop it tasted bitter...
Soon I will be of to visit Emma and Peder for some days ( luckey me) and leaving Jacob with his Baby ( Bird) sitters ;-) I hope for great "Indian Summer" days.
I'm also like Nemo looking forward to Christmas... Thinking about what to make for my Secret Santa Christmas Swap friend.. Thanks to Donna who are running this once again ... I love all the fun of this swap...

Summer berry....

A long time ago there was a song named Puff the little dragon.. A sweet little song- and now I have my own little dragon ;-)
Peder and his mum has been staying at my house for a week, and it is so great to be abel to follow him on his way to be a big boy..
Late summer here in Norway means Wildberry....Realy yummy...Fore some Peder says.. He tried Blueberry for the first time here - not realy fresh from the woods- but as infant food.Overpraised I belive was his opinion. And the poor boy all dressed in pink... It is hard to be a boy in a girls world ;-)
This is the second summer for Emma - so she know how to enjoy wildberry.... Strawberry and raspberry are her favorite. Here she are in deep concentration over a bowl of raspberry...
She could not put the bowl down untill it was all clean and free from all the berry with vanilla kesam. ;-)
Emma has entered nursery school... So now it is realy working days for her had her mum, but it seems like Emma enjoy to be with all the children;-)
Luckey for me I will be visting them both soon :-)
On my sewing area there has been lazy days for a while now ..... put I have some " want to do"- items... one of it are this great little wallquilt by Red Brolly. The pattern are in Homespun no.86.Vol.11 No 7. So on my last stay in Oslo I had to take a trip to Katrines Quiltestue for fabrics. ( nice excuse ;-)) I manage to get me some more just need items. Two small Schnibbles pattern - some new Seasons thread - a green fabric ( just because...) and hexagon flowers from Busy fingers...
I have also got some great mail .... Lynette Andersons new book It's Quilting Cats & Dogs... Oh -- It is soo great - I want to do a lot from it. Wonder where to start. .... So I realy have to rush to my sewing area and start to work ..... ;-)
I even got this DVD in mail. I won a giveaway on Sue Daley's blog...Lot of more ideas I want to try... Thank you Sue - I have to start something soon... ;-)

So now I almost wait for bad weather with rain and wind... great sewing weather .... so I can start to work on some of my new ideas. Hope I will be able to show something next time.. Soon I hope :-)

In last minute I manage to do one finish this month too.... This July has been soo strange and busy, so I have to be pleased to manage to do a little on the sewing front. But in August I need to sew a lot.... and I know there will be some great sewing days to look forward to... ;-)
This little wall quilt are A Stitcher's Priority by The Birdhouse. A great way to use some of my scraps.
I have been busy home this summer, but I got some great family members who has been travelling... I got this thimbles from my aunt. She has been on a Cruise in the Mediterranean and luckey for me she remembered to buy thimbles for me. :-)
I got this from my brother,who has been travelling in Norway. I'm soo pleased when they remember my collection of thimbles... So a big thank you to both of you ;-) Hmmm I wonder if I should take a day and count thimbles.
I have had great visit this month... The whole family has been here in Trysil celebrating Peder's christening. It was a great day. And luckey for me they all stay for at last a week. For the first time Emma and Peder was here together. Emma was giving me a helping had organize the scrap from my life. A little quilting lady?? Time will show- but next week she are going to start at the nursery school and her mum back to work. I can't belive how fast time runs...
Oh -- do you want to have a litte look of the christening child.... LOL.. Here he is Peder Arian ;-)
He was clever and sleep almost all the time.Great guy ;-)
I will show more next time - Peder and his mum are comming to stay for a week soon, it will be a sewing week... ( If I can wake up my sewing machine who has been disregarded the whole of month)
I hope to be back with a lot to show soon -- I have started to use my scrap - once again - and have a lot I want to do .... As usual... LOL

June means summer .....

I did manage to finish this quilt from last post... Guess who feel great. So now my Tote Bag are empty , and all the Ginger Blossom fabrics are used.Fore the first time I quilted by using Stipples made easy. Fun but hard work on a quilt this "big". It make me wish I had a longarm machine...

I have been busy re-organize my sewing area during the last week. It was a total mess, I had to put everything in order. So now I know what has been hiding ;-) I found a lot of well hiding smal fabrics samplers, so now I'm in the mood of playing with small pieces once again. I'm thinking on making me some small "minne-brikker" I dont know how to translate this --- Hm-- Memory doily... I will show you some beautiful day :-)

I have also got some great smal pieces of fabrics in my mail box... Milk Chocolate and charm pack from Moda. Thanks to the pattern in the Chocolate box I got an idea what to make from it ;-)
It is realy summer here in Trysil now.Warm summer days and realy green.This is a photo across the river to where I live.
And I have got a new "friend" He or she jumps up in the window sill , hope I will notice and offer some bread or somthing else to eat.Of course I give the cute little fellow something.
I have also manage to do some quilting stuf... This little wallquilt are a UFO from a long time ago.I don't know or remember where I found the pattern, but it is from a miniature book. I used the selvage from old fabrics , so there are a lot of great memories in it. I took my quilts out doors this time and the small blue flowers above are Forget-me-not flowers. It suit this little quilt--- almost forgotten ;-)

I have been clewer and have done the 4.of the bags from the Bagalicious Club.Beaufort Bag from Hugs'n Kisses.Fun and easy pattern , and it holds a lot ;-) This Club are soo fun , I wonder how the last 4 bags looks like ;-)

Busy June...

To day it is my birthday and there has been a Ladies party... And here are the guest of honor, Emma. She and her mum came yesterday and will stay over the weekend.
But I got more great guests - some of my dearest friends. We realy had a great time - talking and making more plans for the summer. Yes, it include Quilt-shops and fabrics... LoL.
Thank you girls for a great day and the lovely gifts... I know what to bring to bed to nigth ;-)
Here are some of my gifts....Sweets,socks,stringbag, fabrics,book (my bed reading) and look at the little box in the middle. You will never quess what it contents..... Quilt- shop-air LOL. When May Britt went to Trondheim I told her I miss the smell of a quiltshop- so Siw and her made this to me.. Fresh Quiltegården smell. Yummy ;-) But there was more than the smell inside it there was a great necklace. Thank you Siw- I love it. Hugs ;-)
And tomorrow there will be more guest. It is so nice to have visitors for coffe.
There have been a lot of happening so fare in June... Irene , Bjørg and I have been on a Quilt store excursion. We went to Moelv- Quilteliv and Brumundal - Fabrikutsalget. And of course this was the day I had a empty battery in my camera. I only got this photo outside of Quilteliv. We had a great day- made lots of new plans for new quilting items... and got a LOT of new fabrics...

It seems like we could start a little Quilt shop, but it is our treasures on the floor at May Brits place. We had to visit her and was giving her a hard time with our "show and tell" The poor girl had to go to work ;-)
As you can tell I have been to busy with my social life so there has been a little on the Quilting front, But I have been able to cut in my fabrics pile ( only for shortly ;-) But my Tote bag with ginger Blossom fabrics are empty, and I got this Quilt top. To day I got Stipples made easy from Quilt- design. It will be fun to use it for the first time...
There has been more happening in June also. My little Quilt group has had its annual Barbecue and we could sit outdoor, but we had to have our coats on. Yes. we had dinner - not only wine ;-)

Colours of summer....

I love the colours of summer ..... To day has been a great sunny day: the sun didn't go "to bed" untill almos 23 o'clock. I took this photo when it coloured the clouds red.So now I hope the old saying tell the true..... "Evening red make the mornig bright"(aften røde gir morgen søde)
All thing grew fast in summertime - The children also it seems. Look how big Emma and Peder are. It is so fun to be able to meet them and be a part of theyr life.... :-)
I went to Oslo for some days and when I got home this beautifull parcel was waiting for me. I need more Cosmo floss for my Down in the Garden BOM so I ordred it from Sarah at QFD and there was some new fabrics who wanted to come al the way to Norway. LOL Every parcel I got from QFD are soooo beautifull wrap up so I always want more.... I think Sarah realy know how to get me hooked... ;-)

Here are some flower photos from my trip. Beautifull flowers in the town. I dont know the name of the bush.... But it was great..
And so was this Lilac too -- not to forget the couple in front of it LOL.
But I have manage to do some Quilt work too.... more bags. ;-) Just what I needed... This is a "Broderusk" from Nothern Quilts.Named " Duft av roser" ( smell of roses) . Look at the great button who was in the kit.It is from "Snella og Petronella" Take a look - and have fun ;-)
I have also made my third of the bags from the Bagalicious club. A sweet little bag named "girl friday" by the Janelle Wind collection. It is a bag with glasses case in great Cosmo fabrics.Quess who study the pattern so I could cut the fabrics and get leftovers..... This is another great kit from Sarah at QFD.... And luckey me got 5 more bag kit to rejoice at before the fun is over...;-)

Stuff for the kids...

The 17.of May are the Norwegian Constitutions Day, a big day for all kids. A lot of fun and a lot of ice creem. If you like that .. I have to show photos of this beautifull grand kids of mine. Here are Emma in her kind of National Costume, not to happy to be taken photo of- she want to walk ;-) Last post I promice to show what I have been doing latley..... I have been making kids stuff...
At last I have made this little quilt for Emma. She got a beautifull pattern from Joy when she was new born.I made it a little smaller so it can be used in the pram. All the Pandas are so cute, but my favorite are the one with the little bee on his butt. So again ,Thank you Joy, Emma and I love the pattern.
Peder was celebrate the 17. of May with his parents in Oslo. Here he are in front of the Royal Palace. A great spot for the prince in our family I think ;-) I have made a little quilt for him too...
Here it is...I borrowed some Monsters from Kellie Wulfsohn's great quilt Little Monsters and used some monster fabrics with them. I realy hope Peder enjoy playing on this floor-quilt. Emma has add the whole quilt on her wish list.... So now I have some summer work to do ... LOL The pattern are in Homespun No.79 Vol. 10 No .12 Lots of great ideas for items to make for kids in this magasine....
I have borrowed more from it...This little Bear with butterflies are from Butterfly Hunt by Kris Meares. I made them on top of a little green and pink heart quilt for a little new born girl, name Wilma. Her mum are a friend of Emma's mum. Luckey me got a message from Wilma telling me they love the quilt. :-) It is so great when quilts you make are used and loved...
I have been playing a lot with stuff for kids... I made some Bibs, to use some of my fun fabrics and to see if it was a successful by the kids mums... And it did... Here are one for Emma , one for Peder and one for Emil, Wilma's brother... Thes are Bibs to use when they eat...
and this small one are to decorate sweaters and to catch up drivel. Both this Bibs was fun and easy to do. So now I have to make a lot more from some of my fun and " why on earth did I buy this"- fabrics... :-)

New Bags

To day there where a big swarm of birds stoped in my garden on their way back from warmer area. If they hoped to find some food , I belive they was disappointed, there are not summer yet. No green grass and no flowers, just cold and snow and rain...
The only flowers I got are these in doors. - There are a few small spring flowers in my garden but I belive they are realy cold....
Here you can see how it looks outside when the snowshower goes by.Not a great time to be travelling bird .....
My friend Lisbeth has been travelling.... to the sun on a cruise. And she had thimles with her back as a gift for me ;-) One from Jamaica and one from Coamel. Thank you Lisbeth , great gifts from a great friend.
This last weeks I have been playing with my sewing machine. I have done a lot , but can't show you every thing yet.( I have been doing some gifts..... I will show you them next time .. )
I have been making me some new bags, but I did not have time to do all the bags I had on my mind. This is the kit of the third bag from the Bagaliciocs club. A sweet little bag made by Janelle Wind. This will be my new bag for sunny days, - if there will be summer sometimes ;-) Great pattern and beautifull fabrics. So diffrent from the bags I use to make .
I have been playing and tryed some ideas I have had on my mind for a while.... The first are this little purse. I found it in a Japanece book. Easy and fast to make - great for coins when I don't bring a bag.

The second bag are a BIG one .... a weekend bag. All made of fabrics from my stash...Old Thimbelberry fabrics, left-over from differnt TB clubs. The crazy quilt fabrics are great - but now it is gone... The pattern are Norwegian - a Peggy pattern . She have a lot of great pattern for bags.

This is a Peggy pattern too. A great little bag fun to make and a little diffrent. The fabrics on the front remember me of the "happy"-70 and The Beatles. You will find a lot of Peggys pattern here at Quilteliv. This was the shop who was at Elverum quiltelag on our last meeting.

So now I got me some new bags on my next trip to vistit Emma and Peder... ;-)
A girl can newer get to many bags--- I belive ;-)

Proud Grandmother...

May I introduce the new member in our family... Nemo's little boy- no name yet- born the 10 of April. Exacitly just the rigth size ;-)
I'm so happy both my grand children lives close to each other so I can vistit them at the same time.
It is hard to think how fast the babies grew up, it is only a year since Emma was this little... and look at her now...
Here she are - one year big and ready to learn her little cousin all the fun stuff she are doing.....
I have been able to do some sew stuff lately too, I got a challenge from Kjerstin to finish my Veranda View. So at last it is out of the dark in my UFO pile and ready to be hung on the wall.
I hav also done this little quilt, ok - almost done. I have to stitch the name of the boy as soon as I got it... LOL. The other photos are my two daugthers and Emma. It is some of the first photos I got of them all. The hearts on the little quilt are from a block exchange I have been a part of for two years now. Last year we made Friendship stars, and this year hearts. We where 8 ladies and last week 7 of us meet and had a show and tell... Realy funny to see how diffrent we used our hearts a lot of great work.

Next year it is Lapphøna and I who will arrange the swop...
I will be so fun to meet all the girs again , we only meet once a year . So to the girls- it will be fun to see you again next year here in Trysil. ;-)

Yesterday I went on a trip to Oslo with a lot of my friens from Elverum Quiltelag. We where on a shopping trip visiting both Katrines Quiltestue and Lappemakeriet.A big event to be abel to chare all this fun together. Look at all the happy faces, I think every one got some treasures... ;-)

Of course I had to make my second bag from the Bag club to bring. Don't every Quilt trip demant a new one? This one are "Beach House by Natalie Ross In Stitches. Unusual colours to me , but I love it.
And just the rigth size to bring on for shopping....
Here are a few photos from the trip ... At Katrines we got some coffee and offer to sit down and thake a time out in the shopping...
She also had some great show and tell.....
This is her new Bom , starting soon. Realy beautifull big quilt, but to big for me ....... I belive LOL

By Lappemakeriet some of us "Girls" found this seat... Tough to climb, but great to sit and swing our tired legs on... Now I realy can cach a glimpse from my childhood........
Particular when I can see the way May Britt get down from the seat ..... LOL She realy made the day for Irene and me ;-)
I have done one more item this last weeks, Flora Engleløper by Nothern Quilts. A Broderus kit. I feel so great - all of my subscriptions done this time ..... So now I can just wait for the next kit. Block 2 from Down in my Garden has arrived - hope to start to make the block to morrow...
Hm ....If I got some new treasures.... of course.. Take a look. New fabrics- Cosmo floss- Octagon Paper Pieces- Straw needels and "candy" What else can a quilters heart wish...

Oh one more thing.... I manage to order the buttons for Lynettes new BOM to day.... (Thanks and hugs to you May Britt.) I will get them from Siw at Quiltegården. This must be one of the great "MUST HAVE" items this year....

Spring ??

I manage to finish the first block of Leannes Down in the Garden to nigth. So now I'm ready to get block two of this great BOM. I love to work with the fabrics from Lecien and the Cosmo floss.The colours are so vernal.
The first finish in April are done...an old little wallquilt from years ago...I challenge Vigdis to do another during Easter Hollydays....Wonder if she took the challenge...The stitchery are from Nothern Quilt and are called "Is te" ( Ice Tea) Some of my photos are still relaxing, I'm still wondering how to turn them.....
I'm sorry to have to show you this beautifull little quilt the wrong way. It is a Round Robin from Elverum Quiltelag. And it is mine. ;-) Thank you Anne, Mary, Inger,Berit,Anne N,Wenche,Laila,Toril,Mette and Elin. I love your work. If you want to see more of our RR you can go here.....
There has been a important celebration this Easter..... Emma are one year. Not a baby any more but a big girl... I have to show you her great cakes .... Her mum made and decorate them for her party.
First her Bløtkake (creem cake) decorate with her name , one candle and sweets on.Realy tasty :-)
and second her princess crown cake. A chocolate cake with lots of yummy sweets on it..A tasty cake for children of all age.
So all of you who love chocolate you misst something there... LOL

To day it has been sunshine here, I hope it will last a long time now. Easter has been great for sewing in my part of the world, but now I hope for spring. I have seen some birds of passage who has come back. But they looked cold....

There are an old saying going like this: One Swallow are no summer. - But I hope one Starling are... There was one in my garden yesterday....
I cross my fingers ;-)

At the Quilt Annual meeting...

Last weekend we packed our trunk in the car and went to Stokke and this years Annual Meeting in NQF.Not long after the start we saw 3 mooses. WOW they are big and luckey for us they just walk across the road.
There was a lot happening at the Quilt meeting. Lots of ladies, old and new friends, shops ,classes and meeting. I went only to have a great time and to spend some time with great friends... But I had to go to the lecture by Yoko Saito.A brilliant quilt artist, She didn't speak english but the interpreter did her best so we learn a little from her work. She have made 25 books and has a lot of peoples to help her. Yoko had two quilts in the show... Big quilts with a lot of tiny applique...
I had to take some close up photos..... Look at this butterfly..I wonder if I ever manage to do sutch beautifull appilque...

The whole happening was at Brunstad Conference Center in Stokke. Our "home" for the weekend was one of these little cabins close to the sea. But it was only used to sleep and late nigths relax. Most of the time we were shoping- looking and haveing great time with other quilt ladies and great friends...
When I got home I found this kit in my mail box. The second bag kit from QFD. So now I'm looking forward to do Natalie Ross's Beach House Bag. I love the colours and the fabrics.
Ok- ok .... I did bring some stuf home from the Quilt meeting LOL I got two thimbles- one from the Registration bag and the other from Tønsberg, the near by town. I went there with some great friends visiting two quiltshops. Lenes hobby and Quiltefryd. I found a lot to buy..... Some fabrics and a lot of batting. I have some ufo'es to finish... ,-)
Here are some of my buying... I got three books -Baskets made from cloth by Yoko Saito, If quilts could talk by Whimsicals and Bits and Pieces by Karen Costello Soltys.Lots of - want to do- in those books. :-) The frabrics on this photo I was so luckey to win. And I got a lot of thread.... Cosmo Marble Thread and Cottage Garden Thread. It is so fun to be able to try the thread I have seen on blogs. Cottage Garden Thread you can get from Quiltegården and Cosmo thread from Katrines Quiltestue.I love to stitch with the both of them .
I even got me some new fabrics, and a kit. I fell in love with this little quilt the first day. It is 12 little houses around one a littel bigger.You can find a photo here. I got an idea what to make from some of this fabrics, and hope to show you soon . The rest of the fabrics are just because..... But I realy need them ;-)

When thinking back to this trip I had some bitter-sweet experiences, but now it is time just to look forward and forget....With some of my closest and dearest friends I have started to save money for the next Quilt Annual Meeting. It will be in Tromsø, a town up in the north of Norway. I have never been there before so it will be a great opportunity to see more of Norway.

Something old - Something new...

I have been traveling around these last weeks too..... ;-) My last trip was to visit Emma when she was sick. Not great to be little and sick for the first time. I hope she will be well again soon. She and her mum will come and stay with us for Easter - and we will celebrate her first birthday here. Can you belive she are almost 1 year...
The last time they were her it was OL - and I belive Cyan got hooked. Here she are on the table watching Petter Northug.
But now I'm looking forward to Easter and after that SPRING. I hope the snow will melt away and there will be warm sunny days soon. But I'm not the only one. I saw this Gull in Oslo. It seems a bit cold on the feet.
I have manage to do some finish this month too. The first are this" relax" little wall quilt.I got some "Cottage Garden Threads" and had to try it. It is great to stitch with ;-) The pattern are from Natalie Bird's book All Creatures Great & Small. Some of the photos in this blog are realy relaxed..... I have start to use Picasa - but it don't play to well with me all the time... More to learn....
More relax finish--- The last from the Stitchery of the Month Club. Strawberry & Creem by Lynette Anderson.A needle case and a sewing bag. So now I have done all of the kits. This has been a great BOM from Under the Mulberry Tree.
The reason I call this blog "somthing old - something new" are partly this.... I have restarted on this old--- Eh realy old Bom. I got my last block 5 years ago...I only have to finish one block now and the borders. The quilt are called "Wildberry Vines" by Nancy Odom.
And the New start are this----- The first block of Down in the Garden by Leanne... I have been looking forwart to start on this quilt ever since I saw Leanne stitch on it when she and Gail where in Trondheim.Great quilt who bring back great memories.
It is so fun to look at the diffrent colours and fabrics in the two quilts. Both looks great in their own way.

At last I have one more little finish.... A little table runner made with small samplers and old fabrics after a idea fromTrine Bakkes new book "Andre Lappesaker"A new book with "old" ideas. I have to make more from this book..

To morrow I have to start to pack and get ready for this years Annual Quiltmeeting.
I wonder what I "realy need" this year.....

Olympic work.....

Jacob and I have "busy" days looking at the Olympic ...... realy hard work. "We " got silver by Marit Bjørgen earlier to nigth ( puh) and later to nigth it will be at last one more silver.... or may be gold in curling. All this TV watching allow me to do a lot of UFO's and keep Jacob from pluck of his feather.( He use to do that when he is bored.)
I have not only been busy sewing - I manage to order some new Thread. Cottage Garden Thread. I have heard a lot about it- first from Leanne and Gail when they were in Trondheim and I have read about it on different blogs. I have not started to stitch with it yet, but soon. I got my tread from Siw at Quiltegården. She also gave me a tip to wash in in water with vinegar so the colour won't come of . Just in case ;-)
Now fore my OL work.... The first bag from the Bagalicious Club. I had to exchange the fabrics. The green with writing on was so beautifull so I had to put it on the front of the bag. :-)The first Designer was Sweetwater - and now I wonder who made the next bag pattern...
I have also manage to make one more kit from the Stitchery of the Month Club, My Folio by Melly and Me.I'm working on the last of this kit's.I got them from Under The Mulberry Tree. It has beenso fun to get all this kits in mail. I hope there will be more fun sometimes. When I have made all the kits I will show them.
I have manage to make me new Table mats.They are "Broderusk" from Nothern Quilts named "Muse Broderusk" ( Mice- stitchery) Only three in the pattern but I mixt two pattern to get the fourth.
I feel happy manage to do all this finish in February, now I have to start on my March OPAM 2010. I got a lot of items to choose from so the problem will be what to pick.. LOL

Happy stitching - The boys with the "funny" pants have started to fight fore the Gold - or Silver.
I will watch the Curling game a little if I can keep my eyes open...

Running days..

Days are running almost too fast- or I have too mutch I want to do... I have a lot of things I want to do - a large pile of fabrics I want to use and plenty of new patterns and ideas it would had been soo great to do. But I'm not the only one who got plenty of "want to do" items I guess.
Still I manage to buy me some new Quilt magasines this weekend. With more new ideas... Emma also found great pictures on the front of the latest of Love of Quilting magasine.

The last weeks I have got a little "snow-baby" outside in garden. The snow lump looks like a little baby if you have a great imagination. May be it is going to be a snowman when it grows up :-)
But back to what I have manage to do..... One more finish from the Stitching club.. A little Gail Pan stitcery "My Sweet Home"This Stitchery of the Month Club has been soo fun with all the great pattern. I'm working on the last one now while I'm watching/ listening to the OL winter games... It is going to be a lot of hand sewing the next two weeks.
I have made two Toilet bags also this month. I made several as christmas gifts,but there was some one who didn't got one. :-) It is a fun and easy AnnAKa patten.
I have been so luckey to get some great gifts. A lovely little needlecase from Karen. Thank you soo mutch ;-) I love to get new needlecases to my collection. And this was a great surprise to get in mail.
And this beautifull "pulsvanter" ( mitten without fingers) from Lapphøna. She are such a great knitter. Take a look at her blog. Thank you - I love them ... ;-)
I have got some more great mailings... The last kit from the Stitching Club- Lynette Andersons pattern Strawberries and Cream. ( my TV woork) and the first kit from The Bagalicious club.Also in progress.

If I look at my sewing desk there are a lot of "almost done" items... So to morrow I will try to start my sewing mashine and do some more items ready for hand sewing- still a lot of OL events to listen to. :-)

Temptations

Luckey me have had a long visit of Emma and her mum, but now they are at their own home and our house are empty and quiet.It is so fun to be able to follow Emma on her way from baby to child. Here she are trying Santas chair.When they went back to Oslo ,I followed and stay for the weekend, visiting some shops and Nemo of course....
We all went to Sweden on a "Harry"- trip. We went to a big mall and I found this great fabrics in Panduro. Brand new fabrics from Stoff. The fabrics with Roses are Tilda- fabrics.The little Tin was another temptation who hade to come home with me.I see on some others blogs that they are staying focus and are making ufoes.... I try to do so also, but there are so many temtations....
When I was in Oslo I got more fabrics.... Some are fabrics I need to have and other are just because..... I got some from Katrines quiltestue,and some from Panduro. I realy needed somthing fresh in my stash now.. I have no quiltstore close to me anymore.....So it will be great to go to the NQF annual meeting this year... Quess who are going crazy in the shops... ;-)
The mail man are bringing me temptations too,this I got in mail last week. Pretty little Cozies and Animal Crackers. The first block of Bronwyn Hayes new BOM.More to start to make soon, but first I have to finish all the kit from The Stitchery of the month club. I hope to be able to finish them before the last kit shows up in my mail box..
More temptations... Advertise from a new book from Trine Bakke . I fell in love with these Miniature Dresden Plates and had to order them at once from Lappe Makeriet . I also took a phone to Hobby Klubben ( the book club) and asked nicely if they could mail me the book in a hurry... And the sweet lady says ; Yes of course , it will be in mail to day - so it will be at your home in about 10 days....... I wonder how they can let a book out on the road all by it self ;-) She must be walking... This evening all my Dresden plates are done , and I'm still watching the mail man for the book. It is great rumours says....
I found all the fabrics for the Dresden Plates in this box of old trade samples from quilt stores. I love to play with trade samples, but I don't know where to get more... So mine are realy a treasure...
It is not only me who got tempt . Cyan tryed to hide and get some frsh leaf to eat.It is hard to be a indoor cat. ;-)
Now I'm of to bed, to morrow it is Quilt meeting in Elverum, it will be fun to see what all the clever ladies have been working on during Christmas time and the cold weather.

New Year - New Start...

I have been busy this week. I have made My Little Travel Pouch by Bronwyn Hays. It turned out great, after some hard work with my sewing machine. I manage to do it with risk for both my fingers and nose.... My daugrher comment : I belive you enjoy your sewing? And I DO , but it was a challenge. There are a needle case at the bottom of the pouch, with plastic in it. Realy hard to fix. But I manage to do it.... ;-)
There are only one a little sad thing - there are only one more kit from The Stitchery of the Month Club.... All the kits we got has been soo great...
This table runner , Flower's for Erica by Leanne Beasley are from this club also. Another finish to day. I have been working hard with the binding this evening.
I need to do a lot of my WISP's now... I have signed up for a new Club.... :-)
So Sarah if you come to my home now you will be able to meet this.....
Emma, who got her first meal of Cauliflower soup and Pancakes with Blueberry Jam.It tasted sooo good. But was a little difficult to get in the mouth. ;-)
You also have to walk through our white world. To day the temperature allow us to go outside for a walk. It is only 12 degrees bellow zero. Almost spring....
For you who has not guess it --- I have signed up for more bags. I love to make bags, so this Bagalicious Club are just a MUST.

New year and a new start.... I have sign in for OPAM 2010. This year the hostes are Peg and Kris.Last year I was a part of the 2009 Challenge hosted by May Britt and Kris, and I had 31 items done. So I hope I will be able to beat that. I have a lot to choose from , a lot of WISP's and soooo mutch I want to do... So here I go..
We celebrate the New Year at my parents flat and it was a great firework... But my camera could not take photos of it.... But this was close enough so I could take a photo.
It has been cold here after New Year, a realy "stay by the fire" weather, with bellow 30 degrees for almost a week, and more than - 20 since Christmas. The sun are beautiful ,but give no heat.So our days goes with carrying wood to the stove and keep the fire burning. We got some lovely visitors and have been at a few , but it has been to cold to bring Emma out. I have been able to do a little stitching, but most of the time we have been playing with Emma and having a great time ;-)
Cyan has realt turned out to be a quilt-cat. She find all my tablerunners just a mat for her to sleep on.
As you can see I have something I just WANT to do--- SOOON :-)
I have manage to do my first finish for 2010- Me and My Shadow by Cinderberry stitches. It is a kit from the Stitchery Of the Month- club. I have more from this club almost done,so I hope to have more on my OPAM list soon.

So now I wish you all a Happy New Quilting Year. And hope there will be outdoor weather here soon.

SSCS 2009

I got the greatest SSCS gift from Sonia this year. Thank you, Sonia. You send me a wonderful parcel. Look what I got... a little bag, I will use it for my sewing stuff, a nedle and thread-keeper,a pincushion- with pins,a scissors and a Seam Ripper.......
I also got this great stuff- a small embroidery kit,a message magnet and some chocolate...
Even two thimbles had found its way under my Christmas tree. One thimble from Sydney and the other from Manly.When my oldest daugther heard where they were from she told- Oh I have been there.... Luckey her.
I feel like I have spolied at Christmas this year- as every year- there was soo great gifts under the tree for me. Thank you every one--- It was just what I needed everything. ;-)
It has been a snowy Christmas so fare this year- Cold start and a lot of snow. But I know a luckey little girl who got a warm bag filled with down to sit in when she goes out for a walk.So if there are about 10 degrees below zero, she will be nice and warm.
To day we got a visit in the birdcage in the garden. A lovely red bullfinch looking for sunflower seed.

Christmas

These days there are Christmas trees on every corner, this was one I saw when I was in Oslo a week ago. From a distance it looked great, but it was fake. Made by steel. Big steel snowballs. :-)
There has been realy busy days lately, but now the Christmas peace has come to our home. It has been realy winter ourside- more than 30 degrees bellow zero one day, and most of the week with - 20 or more. So Emma have been staying inside most of the time. Just some small trip in the car. Luckey for here she had great new knitted coat with socks and cap. It will be her first Christmas- so guess who got a lot of presents....
Cyan hope there will be some for her too. It looks like she are going to sleep next to all the gifts to night..
I have not only been a lazy blogger- I have also not been able to finish mutch in the quilting world. Almost all I have manage to do are Christmas gifts and can not be shown here... Only these little purses. They are for bringing your favorite tea-bags. I had to make three, two to give away and one for myself. Great idea. I found the idea on Among the Gum Trees blog. Thank you for all the great christmas ideas.
At the end I want to give all in blogland a big Christmas hug and hope you all will have a great Christmas. Now it is in the middle of the nigth here in Trysil, all dark outside, so Santa are free to
come with gifts to all.

Home again...

I have been a lazy blogger for a while...Hm. there must be somthing going on ..Ok... I have been able to take a photo of these lovely flowers, only a week ago. I have been in France to visit my brother and his family.So the flowers looks diffrent from the ice-roses I use to see here now.But so fare this year it has been little of them , it is not cold white snow, just slush..
The view from my brother's veranda was great. I whis I could been there in summer time.Image to sit here in soft warm nigths... Looking out on Grass and all the way to the sea, smelling all the flowers , lavendre, may bee some perfume ( Grass are known for making perfume) and listen to all the sounds of the nigth....
This is what I leave, it was cold this day and they were making snow in the ski area.Great view this also, but some thimes I feel you can't see the beauty where you live.Our house are in the middle of this photo,a brown house next to the spruce.
I have been clever and done a lot of quilting and stitching the last month, but because of the fast comming up Christmas I can or will not show it to you....But this quilt are done in the last days. The blocks are from a Thimbleberry club, and at last I got it to be more than a UFO.I feel great about all the UFO's I manage to have done in 2009 and will try to get a lot more done in 2010.... I hope... ;-) There are a lot of them just laying around just waiting to be done...and I REALY want them... I have a lot of new ideas on my wish list too. There are soo mutch I would like to do.I see new patterns and ideas all the time, so I think 2010 are going to be a busy year... ;-)
Wnen I got home from France and some great days in Oslo visiting my girls,I had got a lot of mail.New patterns, a kit , Homespun and this gift...It is from my SSCS partner Sonia.When I took the parcel there was a scary sound. Allmost like broken glass, but it was just the little bell.
Look at the great Noel ornament, I wonder if Sonia know about my trip to France ;-) She even send me a great hand made card. Thank you Sonia... I will not peep,but it will be hard to save the gift untill the 24. But I will do that. Nemo are going to spend cristmas here this year, so we must both wait to open our gift.

Christmas traditions

Lasr week my mother-in-law helped me to start my Christmas traditions. We made "lefse". It is an old traditison bred almost like thin wafer crispbred ,but soft. Almost like fabric and made of potato and flour. She starts with a piece with the size of an apple .....
The she rolls it out to a big circle....
And lift it over to the griddle. Now I have to do my work... Brush of redundant flour and turn it and bake it on both sides.Then move it to a table to get cold under a baking cloth...
At last we had 52 "lefser" waiting for Christmas breakfast and dinners... We had to taste it home, and it was realy great... Yummy ;-)
I have started to make Christmas gifts - I can't show yet. But I have manage to do some small thing for myself. I have made a little Christmas quilt after Gail Pans pattern, Rolly Polly Santa.
And this little cat. She are a little needlebook.I love to make small and fun Needlebooks and Pincushions . Now I have started to look in all my old Japanese books for new ideas... and I have found a lot...
My collection of thimbles have grown lately... From my friend Lisbeth I got this beauty with a butterfly on. She has been on hollyday in the Canary islands ( I belive....) Thank you Lisbeth ;-)
I also got this great thimbles...The one in front I got from a lady in Holland.It is from Katwijk aan Zee. Thank you. It is great ;-)
The last three I got when Nemo and her botfriend got home from a trip to London. - the last trip for a while ? ? ;-) - The himbles are ; the Queen ,Harry and William- The royal Prinses and the last shows diferent well known places in London. Thank you both. ;-)
Now I'm off to make Christmas gifts and the last for my SSCS gift.

When I got home from our Quilt Meeting there was a wonderfull surprise waiting for me... My present from my Stitchers Angel.. Mine angel was Kate from Australia. But Kate I don't have your mail adress so I can't send a mail with a big Thank You Hug... Please send it to me... I love alle the godis.. I'm so proud to the owner of it all. A needlebook - a pincushion and a litte bag with a lot of godis inside..

Here see what was hiding in the little bag... Floss -Quilters Pins ...Messuring tape.. she had even add two Kit-In- A -Card made byWildcraft farm.. And the cutest little frog says Hello from the front of the card.
Once again Thanks Kate. I wish I could give you a real hug. And thank you Helen for hosting this swap..

I know the gift I made for a Angel are on it's way- I hope she like it too...

Blue and white...

This is how my world are these days... Mostly blue and white.Outside the sky are deep blue and the montain are white.To day my whole garden are white, it is white frost allover the grass. More than 7 degress below zero make everything shine.
My mind are blue and white too, I work a lot with these colours from my stash. I'm working on a memory quilt and it brings a lot of memories, some great and some a little sad.. I will show you when it is done.But I have a great time making it... ;-)
Yesterday I hade some great visitorns in my rowan, a crowd of Waxwings were looking for berrys. When they are comming and I see Swans in a plough on the sky .... there are no doubt, it is allmost winter.
I have manage finish a little needlebook this week. I got the pattern when Leanne and Gail was at Quiltegården . We got some small free pattern from both of them.Great useful items. Thank you both I love to have them as great memories.
To day I'm off to the quilt meeting in Elverum , bringing my blue and white quilt bolcks in work...
It will be soo fun to meet all the girls and see what they are doing now. If you goes here you can see some great works..There will be more photos after the meeting.
I have a great weekend in front of me.... I'm going to Oslo to vistit Emma and my girls. Emmas mother are celebrating her birthday. And on monday I'm going to a Show and Tell at Katrines Quiltestue with Lynette Anderson...

Sewing days...

I have been busy with a lot of sewing these last days.
I have done this great bag., it is the kit I got from Lappemor, when she meet me on the bus when I came from Leanne and Gails clases in Trondheim. I love the bag - Lappemor has choose beautifull fabrics so this are my new favorite bag- at the moment... ;-)
When we came in to the class room at Quiltegården , we found plastic bags on our desks with the kit to this bags in it. A lovely bag to carry new projects in , and a great memory from the weekend. Thank you Siw and all your great helpers.
I have manage to do a little somthing for Emma also this last weeks. She has became almost a big girl now. Soon 7 month old.The time runs so fast - It will be so fun to meet her again in a couple of weeks---- and her mother and aunt too ;-)
I made Emma this book from a kit I bought in Gøteborg this spring.Fun and easy to make and it is machine washable, realy great for someone who love to chew on everything...Outside there have been some days with snow and some days with a lot of sunshine, but I belive the winter are here soon. Great sewing days ;-) But it is not so simple to be a bird.. I saw this woodpecker in a pine in my garden. They are a bit shy so I had to take the photo through the window pane..

This are also out of my window pane,A lot of hungry birds eating frosen rowanberry..
But some birdes has a easy life .... Jacob sit warm and satisfied inside and look at the cold birds outside in the snowy tree.Some birds realy got a easy life..... Or not ... He has some battle with me about if he can drop my pins on the flor or eat my thread.... Or fighting with Cyan about who are the boss in this house......
Cyan are a smart cat woman and let Jacob belive he rules the house, as other ladies I know :-), and take a nap in Emmas carriage.

To morrow I'm going to give first aid to an old quilt..... a WISP who has been lying in my sewing room for a looong time... I got Buttonhole stitching-refusal and pretend not to have the quilt, but now is the time to bring it in to the ligth and have a re-start.... I want it and even got a its own place to hang it when it is done... So now I cross my fingers and hope to do the rest of it...
I will show you later...
Have great days--- I have a lot on my mind and in my fingers now-- One thing are done and in the mail- the parsell for my Angel in the Stitchers Angel Swap... I hope she like it. ;-)

At the end of the rainbow....

Last weekend some ladies from my Quiltgroup and I went to Trondheim to take a class with Leanne and Gail . They has come all the way from Australia to Quiltegården. We where going by bus , and not far from Trondheim these fashionale rainbows appear. ( the photo are out of the buss window) So now I'm certain there are a treasure at the end of the rainbow. We found a weekend filled with show and tell, old and new friends, and a lot of new ideas ,and must do items.
We where not the only one trying to get something out of the weekend, on saturday there was a film team from "Norge Rundt"( A norwegian TV- show ) They where doing a repotage from Gail and Leannes visit and what we Quilting ladies where up to. The team realy had to work. It was fun to see how mutch work a little report in TV are.... It will be on TV in about a month.
Leanne had done some great pattern for us. A redwork for saturday and this bouquet for sunday.I started on this- promise to show when it is done...
Gail had some santas for saturday and this little quilt for sunday... I started to stitch santas, but I will do this quilt soon. She brougth with her all the models from her book. It is a must have book , filled with beautifull small quilts and ideas. May be a Christmas gift to wish for.

This was what meet us when we came to class on saturday... At last I got what I have seen on photos from clases in Australia - Bags with gifts , name tags and pattern in... WoW. We got a great gift from Siw. I will show that also when done.This was a great start on a fantastisc week end. We where a lot of blogging ladies. Sølvi has a photo of us all with all our names and blog adresses.It was so fun getting to know the faces behind the blognames...
This is Siw, the hostess for all this fun. She are on Hurtigruta with Leanne and Gail now. With new ladies- in new classes. They also got AnnAka as a teatcher. I know there are going to be grat fun on the boat too...
This are some of what we where doing in class. It is a start of Lailas Garden-which I'm going to start on soon....
Here you can see some og our Santas...I have almost done two... One for me and one to give away...

Even I got a lot of new pattern , some fabrics and a lot of "realy have to have"-items at Quiltegården- There where a kind lady waiting for us at the bus station in Tynset with more we just need. Lappemor came with a new pattern and stitchery batting. I also was so luckey to get a wisp from her... Again - show when done...

At the end for to day- I have to say Thank You to all my friends from last weekend.It was so fun to meet you all and I hope we will meet again some times..

One more sleep...

My Quiltquild are 10 year and there has been a great exhibition. There was a lot to show.... Lovely bags, small and big quilts - and what ever you can imagine.I will only show a few photos, but look at Abyquilts blog... She has plenty of photos..
I'm off to a class with Leanne this weekend , so I had to show her Butterfly Garden in blue. A beautiful quilt..
This is another lovely corner... all made in Jpanese fabrics...
And at last I hade to show this little mastepiece It is so small ,but look at the bee... ;-)
I have manage to do a lot of quilting and binding on small wisp's the last weeks. With a lot of "help" from Jacob. He are always ready to give me a helping beak, what ever I say....
But in spite all the "great help" I have done a lot... This are from The Stitchery of the Month Club. A Janelle Wind pattern called Tea for Two. It was suppose to be two coasters and a tea cosy, but I don't use tea cosy ,so I made me a little table runner-And I love it.
I have also done some maskin quilting and binding on these old wisps from the bottom of my pile. Sorry to say - there are a lot more to work on....
This table runner are a new one... an great idea by AnnAka...I got the fabric with the printed redwork design on last time I went to Trondheim all the red fabrics I found in my stash. :-)
As I mention earlier I'm off to a class with Leanne , but not only her... Gail Pan are comming as well. I meet Leanne three years ago when she was in Trysil, so it will bee so fun to see her again.
Gail I will meet for the first time. I have got a mail from Siw at Quiltegården tellig what choice of class we got- and I know what I want to do... I will start on one of Gails pattern on Saturday, and one of Leanne's on Sunday. I will show you my choises next time...
On friday there will be a show and tell ( a trunk show) by both the ladies...
I know it will be a great weekend with a lot of new and old friends.

Now I have to do as this litte "lady" from the exhibition--- go to bed and have a good nigth sleep..

My thimble collection has been growing since my last blog up date. One from Krakow, one from Stockholm and the last from København. Thank you Synøve and Vigdis, you are great friends.
I have been a lazy blogger , but there has been a lot of happening in my life. To day are the first time for a long time I just can sit and do nothing.... ;-) My parents has moved in their new flat here in Trysil. A great flat with the most fantastic view....
They are living on the other side of the river from me. When I went back home yesterday I had to take this photo from the bridge.At last there are sunshine....Blue sky and deep blue river.Just lovely..
Here are the view from my parents flat..You can stand in their living room and look at all the downhill slopes. Guess who has booked room to celebrate New Year evening.. ;-) All the hotells has great fireworks.... I promice to bring my camera.
Last nigth it was bellow zero degreeds and rime in the grass.There was almost like fire when the sun came . Fall are beautifull in its own way...
This summer I have done a lot of stitchery, and put it in a pile on my sewing table... Now it is time to complete a lot of idees... So to day I have realy grab in to the pile and manage to get a step futher...
I will show you soon , just have to show this tiny little angel I got from Vigdis...The angel are smaler than a thimble and have a lot of details..
This months first finish are Rosalies Welcome Friend needle case.... The Project Caddy are in my wish to do - pile..
I have also manage to do three blocks of The Gingham Girls Quilt...
and two of A Kittens Tale blocks... But I got a lot more blocks to do... not out of work for a loooooong time. Wonder if I will manage to do all what I wish to ever?
I'm a part of the Stitcher Angel 2009 and these are the Sweet and Spotty Needle Wallet from Cinderberry Stitches.-One for me... and one for my secret friend ;-) I had to do them in the colours who she use in the Tail Feathers quilt. I love that BOM but have manage to keep my fingers away from order it so far.... ;-)

Now before I'm of to stitch and listen to Csi on tv, I want to say a big thank you to my great quilting friends who was so great and give my mother and me the greatest help yesterday evening...You are SOOOO great. Big hugs to you all. I owe you one...

Summer are almost gone into fall, and Emma are no longer a baby. She has got her first two teeth and sit in her baby carriage....Nemo has mad her the great strawberry cap.

I have done a lot of stitchery this month, but only manage to finish two .... The sweet little bag from Stitchery of the month club.It is a Natalie Ross design, Big enought to carry a cup and a cupcake. Just what I need for the quilt meetings...
And I have at last done the first of four of AnnAKa's Hekser (witches) This one says "Natur opplevelser" (Natures adventure) So I manage to do two items this month also...Great for the chalenge.
This summer I got all these thimbles from great friends , who has been traveling around. Thank you all , it is soo fun to get new thimbles. The one with the bird are the first one I got from Emma- Wonder if she will be traveling a lot in future...
Last week ,when I saw a lot of my quilting friends, I got this beauti from Maihaugen. Thanks a lot Inger. ;-)
I even got a great pressent from Irene..Some wood pearls, a exciting fabrics and a treasure-chest. I must find somthing special to hide in it... LOL
I got a great visit last week,a lot of my quilting friends.We all had a great time , stitching and talking and I got a lot of Q- vitamins.It is so fun to meet them again again after a long summer. It was Emmas first quilt meeting--- wonder if she will be a quilter. No hurry , time will show. ;-)
Jacob and Cyan are still messing around.... They give us a lot of fun, and some headache.Jacob somthimes get mad and cryes out loud and Cyan runs like a mad in the living room.But most of the time they are great friends. I can't tell who are the boss... it depends ... Here are Jacob trying to get Cyan down from the roof of his birdcage. They had a discussion about the sunflowerseed earlier. Yes Cyan eat them... ;-)
I wonder if Cyan has got to mutch Q-vitamins... She fell a sleep in all my projects....Hm I got a lot more to complete...And to day I manage to get me even more to do. I have spend a lot of this day in Quiltegården....I will show you next time.. Untill then - Have some grat days.

This last weeks I have been working on all these free BOM . I have collect them, but just left them on my desk. Now they are almost done! I decide to made one block each day,and I almost manage to do that.. It will be fun to see how the quilts are going to look like...It will be fun to put them together....
I got me more to do, remember this pattern and the Cosmo floss? I have to try the floss but I need more floss so I ordred it from Crabappel Hill. Now I just have to start to stitch the pillow..When ever I got time with all my projects.....
I collect floss this days.. When I was in Oslo I went to Katrines quiltestue and got all the new DMC floss.It looks like candy. I need some of them in The Gingham Girls quilt, and because I cant get it here I just got to have them all... ;-) I didn't buy mutch more, just some fabrics to stitch on and a lovelt red frabric , it almost jumped into my bag with the pattern...The pattern are from Stitch Studios, new for me, but it will be a great Tote - some day ;-) I meet some friends from Elverum in the shop. ( It was soo fun to run into you girls- Hope you had a great day and got a lot of lovely buyings.. Hope to see you again soon - Hugs)
I also had to make a quick stop at Panduro . I got some sweet fabrics and the Butterflie box there... Luckey me ;-)
I have got a lot of presents this summer... Nemo and her boy friend has been at Iceland for their hollydays... They had a great time and look what I got.. great thimbles and Quilters Home... I love that magasine but it seems hard to get here in Norway. I use to get it at Narvesen in Oslo, but not any more... wonder why... HM
My thimble collection has grown a lot , these I got in a second-hand fair here in Trysil. I also got this old pincushion with room for thread.I have to fix it so I can use it when I do Needle turn, the pincushion are filles with sawdust. Not easy to put pin in...
I have got a lot more thimbles from great friends- but I have to show them next time...
I have not been working on my Polka Dot Girl quilt tis summer. It was one of my goal, to get it all done-I realy need a restart on it. But I got myself a great Polka Dot girl... ;-)

I have been doing a lot of WISP's lately.- This is a realy old work, I belive I knitted it more than 10 years ago, but I didn't made it ready to use untill this week. So now Emma has got a new -realy old jacket.
I have been a part of SFRR- 3 this spring. A fun way to make little quilts. I made the center, border 1 are made by Margaret from Maine ( the hostess of this swap).border 2 are made by Karlie from Arizona and quilting and binding are done by Judith from Netherland.They all did a great job , and I'm the luckey owner of a great new little quilt. Thank you soo mutch to you all.

I does a lot of stitching now when I got visitors.It is so relaxing and easy to just put aside.
I had to make two of this small wall quilts from a Norwegian magasine called Familien. It is the first of four smal, funny quilts.I hade to have one myself and one for a birthday gift.(I keep the one with yellow sweater).
The next pattern are a lady have a bathe...I have to start on that soon...
I have been working on my Bom's also. I have been a slow stitcher this summer, but now I hope to catch up. This is part 1 and 2 of the Gingham Girls, part 3 are ready to nedleturn on my working table..
I even has manage to do block one of Autumn House from Bunny Hill Designs and block three of Breast of Friends.I feel so great when I manage to do some of all the designs I have started on. This week I have been working realy hard to get the small free boms done. I have been working on A Cheistmas Wish ( by Gail Pan)Block 7 done to nigth. And Verandah Views (By Willowberry Designs) Block 7 ready to stitch to morrow...
Cyan and Jacob thinks I shuld thake some time on my sewing maskine, they try to tempt me by taking a close look at my new fabrics, but I have to get my own goal first...

Emma was at home in Oslo for a while,untill she and her mother came back to spent sometime with us here. It has been realy hot .... When they left Oslo it was +40 degrees in their apartment.Jacob has been waiting for Emma to return, he sat on her baby carriage and waited ... I don't know how to make him understand that she are not here all the time...
But now we all enjoy to spend some time with her again. Learning her to read the newpaper and so on...
I have done a lot of stitching these last weeks--- I got my first july project ready. The first kit from Stitchery of the Month Club. Rosalie Quinlans Grandma's House. It was ment to be framed, but I made it as a cushion. It looks great I think. I got my second kit and has started on it too... This is a great club ;-)
Last week was realy hot her in Trysil , so it was difficult to get to bed in the nigths.This is how it looks at one o'clock in the middle of the nigth- The sun has problems to go to bed as well.
Jacob are a bit jealous on Cyan...She can walk where ever she wants all the day,while he have to stay in his cage sometimes. So he tryes to chase her sometimes, but Cyan got a brigth idea and went to sleep in my leftovers. Under the table in my sewing area. Guess who are going to sneeze the next time I'm going to search in this box ;-)
When I was in Oslo visiting Emma and her mother we went for a lot of walking in the town, here we are on Akerbrygge, there was a lovely ligth breeze from the sea.
We also took a walk up to Katrines Quiltestue...And I got some new patterns, new DMC floss and some blue fabrics....witch I realy need... Yes I have found a new pattern I just HAVE to do...
Look at this wonderfull quilt on the front of Homespun...I'm not clever to use blue fabrics- but great to buy them, so now I will have this quilt as a slow goal. I will make it by hand and have no pressure. Wonder if I got pressure on all my other ufo's ???? Hm It don't looks so.

My days has been busy, but I have manage to do a lot stitchey while there are vistiors in our home. At last Two brown Chickens are done... Just in time, I have seen another great stitchery from Leanne in the next Homespun....Realy somthing I have to do...
I have also dona a little Angel stitchery..I found a great blog where it was coloured stitcherys... So I have to try that way.. LOL And my two little houses from NQT in Gøteborg are done..
And at last I have done a little bear stitchery.. PUH... I feel clever this month..
A few weeks ago we celebrate Emmas baptism . Aren't she cute in her dress? My mother made it from her mothers bridal veil.She must be Emmas great great grandmother... The dress was made for Nemo, 28 years ago,but the Bridal veil was used in 1930... Emma was born 105 years after her g-g-grandmother.. 31 Mars... ;-)
I have been a part of Pincushions Summer Swap.... thanks Sandra for hosting this swap... Look what I got.. A beautiful hen , great needels ,ribbon and a thimble fron Tasmania. Thank you Jo for all the great items- I love them all...

Jacob has enjoyed all our visitors...I don't know if everybody enjoy him so mutch- but anyway my brother and his two boys was staying for a week.. Jacob wanted to stay with my brother all the time, so her he are on top of his head..
Jacob has also been visiting my parents at their cabbin...Here he are looking out on the sea wondering if there are any swan to see.....
I have been taking a walk to Lapphøna begging for some coffe.. LOL Her you can see some of her luckey hens - Two brown ( and one black) Chickens in her garden...
I have got a new Camera... It is sooooo fun to play with, but I have a lot to learn. I think it takes great photos -particular impressed of this close up photos..This bumblebee almost looks sweet...
And these blue flowers are realy tiny... I think I have to play a lot more with the camera learning how to use it...
Before I say good nigth I must show you how it is outside just now... It is one o'clock in the middle of the nigth and it is almost dayligth...

Friendship Star

This winter I got a mail from a friend asking if I want to be a part of a little swap. Eigth girls of us made Friendship stars,and send to each other. We had to make somthing of the stars and have a "show and tell" in May. Seven of us got together... and here are the what we made.....

Fun to see what we made. Great result. We decide to make a new swap next winter.... wonder what we are going to make then..

If you remember last post I was so anthusiastic after being in a class with Mirjam Hakala.. So here you can see some of the kits we got for our pincushions.On the photo you can see all the fun I have in front of me...
I also did some buying, not mutch, but just what I needed :-) Take notis of the fabrics in front, It is the new fabrics from Lynette Anderson Designs.I don't know what to make of my new fabrics jet, but they will be a great memory from Gøteborg and NQT.
I got some kits as well, from the Danish shop My Quilt Design.I'm looking forward to make them.
I have great traveling companions - We all had a need to get to all the shops for looking and buying, and meeting all the other quiltin ladies and shops owners. We all had a fine time.
It was a wonderful road who lead us to all the shops. The trees was decorated with fabrics . Fun and a great idea.
I got my selv some yummy cake and a latte.... Realy something to get my mind in a good mood... and guess where I got this ....
Yes of course at Jacob's cafe. Clever guy that bird LOL
I got my self some great thimbles from Gøteborg and Sweeden. This time I was lucky to find thimbles, I didn't got any from Helsinki, and it took me 3 years before I found one at "Vikingskipet"
The last weeks I have been stitching after Bronwyn Hayes pattern... Block 1 of the Gingham Girls ...
And block 2 of Breast Of Friends. The BOM in Homespun.I think all the girls in these girls are relative. ;-)

This week I will be keeping a close eye on my mailbox... I'm expecting great mail from Australia... Block 2 of the Gingham Girls, a mailing from Giggle Buttons and.... The first kit from "The stitchery of the month" club from Under the Mulberry Tree.
A lot of more to do.;-)
I can't wait to start stitching.....
