Norway lengthwise ...

I have been a lazy blogger lately... Once again... But I have travelled a lot, up and down in Norway. And had a lot of fun .. This is a glimpse from Karl Johan , the main street in Oslo, during World Championship on ski. By day time LOL I went to one of the Reward distributions, just to have been there. I could not see anything just a part of one of the big TV screens. There where 100 000 peoples gatherd just to cheer. wish you all could hear the sound of the national anthem...
My next travell was to Tromsø and NQF annual quilt meeting 2011...
This is Ishavs katedralen ( The Arctic cathedral) by nigth. There where a beautifull consert just for us, NQF ladies.
We ladies from the southern part of Norway had to try every thing Tromsø are known fore...( In Norway) Here at Rorbua drinking Mack beer... Irene got a lot of beer( just as for 10 years don't like beer... )but the Fish soup and water was great :-)
More food, this time at Skarven. Water and coffe fore me and Bacalao- tasted for the first time :-)
The view from our hotell, Hurtigruta.
Some of us even manage to take the cableway to one of the mountain tops... It was the only trip that day, to mutch wind. 22 m/sec... Scarey but fun, and guss how proud we where after.. :-)
Some photos out of the windows....
The town Tromsø...
We went all the way up to the top here...
When we went back to take the bus to town every body walk in a line... Wonder if the reason was the ice and the gravel ..... :-)
This is a photo of Aurora Borealis, Nothern Ligths... A photo of a photo... we did not succes to see it in " real life"
One nigth there was Fish soupe in the Polar aquarium... I manage to get photos "from under sea". Look at the colours...
More great colours....
A photo of a photo of a Polar bear...
A King crab.... One reason not to swim in the sea.... :-)
NQF ladies looking - talking and waiting for the soup...
And I found a Quilt.... Svennebrev.. I will start to make this quilt as soon as posible... Ok Ok I saw a lot of beautifull quilts in Tromsø. If you want to look go and look at Hanne and May Britts blogs...( Just scroll down.)
Back to my home, I have mange to finish one item .. (But I have done a lot of Flowers... )This is Make and Bake Month 1 Pincushion by Busyfingers....
Once more a little trip to Oslo - spring are just around the corner... I saw one little Crocus...
Here in Trysil I have had my last walk in the Ice road across the river. The snow are melting and there are water in the "road"...

Thank you for sharing your nice trip. I am glad our weather is a bit warmer than yours. I remember as a child my parents waking me in the middle of the night to see the aurora borealis. I was able to see some in Alaska a few years ago. We are still having cold weather but magnolias have begun to bloom in my neighborhood.Your post reminds me that although nature can sometimes be a problem, it can also be beautiful.
