Summer time

Here are a photo from Elverum Quiltelags last meeting before summer. As last year we were so luckey to be invited back to the great dairy. This time the weather was so great that we stayed out doors. May Britt has a lot of photos on her blog from May 2007.
May Britt and I realy had a great time, with lots of food and less quilting. We did bring something to work on, but didn't work too hard.I have not beeing to clever on the quilting area these days. I'm still working on my new sewing area and we have had some visitors in the weekend...I'm not the only one who are clearing in my sewing room. Have a look at Quiltgal's blog and have a look. She are having a "give away"
But I'm working on this Spring Fling Round Robin. I have started to quilt it and it is almost ready to go out in the world to his owner.I'm looking forward to get my ....
Last week I got my PIF pressent from Gail. A beautiful bag. I love it and it has been with me several times already. It will be my summer bag this year. Thank you Gail. I have started on my PIF gift to. So the owner don't have to wait to mutch more....
I have been out in my garden picking flowers( befor my husband started to cut the grass) I love the "For-get-me-not" flowers and want to share it with you all.A little summer greeting to you all in Blog-land.
Here are the visitor I was telling you about.... My oldest daughters cat,Cyan. She are a Russian blue, 6 mnd old and just lovely.Look at her green eyes.Green as the gras. She walkes in a leash, and thanks for that, she are sooooo fast. She lives in Oslo so she realy enjoyed to lie in the gras looking at the birds and the flies.
She and Jacob realy had a great time.I was sitting and reading when I suddenly heard Jacob was making sounds, as he does when he is having a great time.( Cozy-sounds almost like a cats purr.)
When I looked I saw why....He had a visitor in his cage.Cyan found it so fun to play with Jacob. When he was sitting quiet to long she gave him a little push with her paw, but no claw, just to make him move. But I don't dare to trust them for real,I never know what could happen if they got to playfull. But it will be great fun to watch them when they meet again next time.

I hope you all will have a great time untill next time. I have some stitching projects.. Noas Ark and some more...I will show you later...See you ;-)

Trip To Trondheim

We had a lot of fun when we took the trip to Trondheim. It started after a few Norwegian miles. There was Llama on the run in the road. They are staying in a farm by the road, but I had not seen one on the run before. It was realy big. ;-)
We did meet a lot of animals on this trip. We saw a Fox, two Roe-deers and at last two Norwegian Mooses. And of course I was not fast enough with my camera to get photoes to show...
But I manage to get a photo of Hurtigruta. This are going all the way to Kirkenes, all filled with touristes. They are on the way to see the Midnight- sun. Oh, I wish it was me...
Here are what the woods around my parents home looks like. All white with White Anemones. Just lovely.
Jacob was verry pleased when he returned to his house in the cage. He looks as he thinks....Home sweet Home. But he are realy happy when he are with us on a trip. ;-)
I didn't get photos from the quilt shops in Trondheim. But I got some great buyings.Strange what I didn't know what I needed... Great fabrics , a pattern with Strawberries from QuiltFig Trees and a pink ruler....
I have been working on small Blocks of the Mounth. Some friends of us has started on the little red work Sunbonnet Sue from Little Quilts. We did started now in May so it realy are the first one. The other are Lynette Andersons Noas Ark. The free BOM from her Blog. She are so great sharing it with all of us here in Blog-land.
I have also made me two Book Marks from a Bird Brain Designs pattern. Realy fun and easy to make. And all the fabrics are from my stash. ;-) I'm organize all my Quilting stash and WOW I did found a lot of forgotten items..... I'm not the only one ?

Some days ago I had a great vistior in my birdhouse.. The most beautiful wild bird I know. A Bullfinch. He use to show up in the winter, but I didn't see him then. Look how bright and red he is. I hope he don't tell it will be a short summer.
I will stop now, I have more to show from the Quilt world next time. I have a lot going on in my new sewing area. It is so great...I can move around.
Have some great quilting time. See you. ;-)

New Sewing Area

I have a lot to tell you, but I could not get any more photos to the blog,Bloger Error. ;-(
So I just have to show the MOST important....Alos I have been moving my sewing-area.I used to have all my stuff all over the whole house.Cutting fabrics on the kitchen, making big quilts with my sewing maskine in the sitting room and ironing in my sewing-room.And I moved all around when I did stitchery.... But that was before LOL May I introduce "My hand sewing area", with my libaty just by my side. I got a lot more magasines ,but that part are expecting some cupboards to all my fabrics, so I have to show that part later.
Here are my Sewing area with space to iron and cutting. I have not been able to work on it yet, but just you wait and see when I'm of work. I think it is going to be soo great having all that room to work at.
Jacob had to move to let me have his sitting-room. But I think he dosen't care. He can be watching us in ouer sitting-room.And I belive he is verry happy with his new room. He has got his "Fan-club" with him. And throught the window he can watch some of our neighbours. He think it is great to see some peoples when he are in his cage.
Here are my old sewing room before I moved.....I think you can image how great I feel abouth the new one. The last days before moving I feel like I could not get air when walking in it.All that mess, so now I have to organize all my stuff.A H.... of a work, but it is needed. Get all the fabrics in colors, magasines in volumes and patterns in done,-want to do,-and why did I bought it????
I think I'm going to find a lot of "new" stuff.
I will show you later.
I have some great photos to show from our trip to Trondheim, But as there are blogger error I will do it next time. Hopfully soon.
Untill then- have a great time. Hugs. ;-)

My Thimbles

Yesterday May Britt showed her thimbles and she told about Nancy and her big collection of thimbles. Nancy also has a Give a way, so you shold take a look .I promise to show my thimbles as vel. I only have a few. These two I love , the most simple belong to my grandmother. I don't know how old the thimble are but my grandmother was born in 1904. (I think.) And the other was hers sister-in -laws. As you almost can see har name was Bergliot. I don't know when she was born, but I think they was almos at the same time. The thimbles are both in silver and they has a blue stone on the top.Bergliot's has a drake around it.Like the one you can see on old woodcutting from the time when the Viking's was around.

Here are the rest of my little collection, I have got almos every one from good friends. They are from;Amsterdam,Island,Roma,London,Lanzarote,France and the last are from Hell. ;-) Last years NQF meeting was at a little place in Trøndelag, Norway named Hell.
On Saturday we went to Oslo to celebrate Nemo.s birtday( She are having her birtday to day)And of course I have to take a quick walk in town. I needed to go to Panduro to buy some panting for the Cloudberry-pattern. But when I came to the desk to pay, I had got more. ;-) Two nice boxes Safety pins and ordinary pins + three fabrics.....

We also had a stop at my oldes daughter's home to visit her and not at least Cyan.( I think she are a Quilting cat) She has found herself a new sleeping place.I have promice to make her a quilted sleeping bag..... In brown and pink.
To day I went to Lappehøna to visti her and get a chat and of course coffee. we even manage to do some sewing. LOL The sun was shining and it was lovely to walk. No ice on the road...But it is a lot of snow on the mountain.I wounder when it will be gone?
