New Start...

I have started to make blocks for my Polka Dot Girls quilt made by Red Brolly. I started to make it as a BOM from Katrines Quiltestue several years ago, but like a lot it had turned out to be a WISP... Wonder why that happen...
But some weels ago a friend of me told she had started to make the PDG-quilt,and we desided to make one block a month....This is my january block. It is block 4. My friend (no blogger) does the quilt in Japanese fabrics.I hope she will allow me to show her blocks sometimes. They are so great...The two following blogs are the two I made some years ago. When I look at them I see that I have learnd a lot about stitching... But I still like to stitch on cotton batting as big as the whole block.I don't remember which was my first block. But as this is the first block I belive this is the first...

And this the second one. It says block two in the pattern also.
I have become a member of Polka-Dot Girls Stitchery Group also. So now I REALY have to make the whole quilt.Here I have seen some lovely blocks. I wonder if there are more ladies in Norway who has PDG as a Wisp ? I can't remember to have see the quilt on any blog yet....
Yesterday I took a photo of my sewing area- it is such a mess. I have soooo mutch I like to make and do.. You can see my february block of PDG are ready to be drawn on. I use a brown Pigma Micron 005 pen. It suit me.The thread are cover it complete when I stitch, but I don't draw the shading, so I have to have the pattern with me to look at.
I have been clever and have done part three from the Pincushion club.The pattern are made by Melly and me. A lot of work but fun to do. I'm almost done with the next pincushion also. I will show you next time. And to day I got a new kit in mail. A lot of great things to make... This club are sooo fun. I love it.

This week are going to be another busy week. To morrow I'm going to Oslo and meet my two girls, and yes I'm going to visti Katrines..... I hope she has got somthing new to show me... I will also visit panduro also, they have the new book from Tilda... I think I need that...
On thursday there are a meeting in Elverum Quiltelag so I have a day to meet my friends there. I don't see them so often these days as I don't work in Elverum any more.So I have a lot to catch up....

I have receive this award twice since New Year. I'm so sorry but I have been so lazy lately so now I have to say- please forgive me for not respont. But now I want to say a humble Thank You to both Joy and Tingelingeling.I cant say I deserve it more than all the other great bloging ladies in Blogland. So thats why I want to give the award to everyone in Blogland -particular to the one who don't think they deserve a award.
These last weeks since new year has just past away- wonder where they went? I have been lazy in blogland and have not even tryed to start my sewingmaskine.... BUT one thing I remeber... I was on a trip to Irenes (no blogger) cabin.But again lazy- I forgot to take photos untill last minute. Here are Irene locking the door before we where leaving.She has a great cabin- I belive a lot of you has seen it on Abyquilts blog. They has had some great days there before. Irene and I was lazy with stitching, but she learn me to play 10 000. It is a game with dice.She beat me a lot , so I think we have to take a trip later, I have some battle to win ;-)
We realy had beautiful weather when leaving the cabin. A low sun was shining over the neighbour cabin. It has come a lot more snow since we came back, and it is more to come in this weekend.....
I have done some of the great new free BOM's this week. A Tisket,A Tasket from Bunny Hill Designs and Verandah Views from Willowberry Designs. Great small blocks. Thank you to the designers for offering it to us in blogland.I think it will be a great year of fun BOM's.
I'm also making A Christmas Wish BOM by Gail Pan. This is going to be a new quilt for this christmas. Thanks Gail for making this happen......
Last week we got a lot more snow.So I still live in a blue world.But as you can see....the clouds are breaking up and the sun are on its way....

2009 the UFO-year....

Happy new year. On new years evening the King speech to the people, and animals as you can see. Jacob and Cyan was listenig having a peace full moment. They had a lot of fun during christmas,chasing each other through the rooms.
Something Jacob learn from Cyan is to sit on the stove if feeling cold. Cyan are a great teatcher.He even tryed to climb in the christmas tree, but he found the decorations to scary, and thats are fine with me ;-)

It is a cold start on the new year, cold but beautiful. The sky has been so unbeliveable .I took this photo to day.Look at the colors.It is the last day with the christmas decorations, to morrow I'm going to put it away untill next Christmas.


I have got some great parcels aften new year.I won all this at Jane's great giveaway.20 fat quatres of 30's fabrics and a beautiful pattern. No wonder the santa has passed out. ;-)

I also got this cute little peg-girl with a new year card from Nadine.I think she are going to stay beside my pc so I can feel her smile... Thanks Nadine... Klem ;-)

I have started this new year with a lot of fresh goals.... One of the biggest are to do some or a lot of my UFO's. This are one of my smalest.... block 10 of Noah's ark. And to tell you some secrets... I have found more free BOm's.So now I have got two more to do this year.. A Tisket,A Tasket from Bunny Hill Designs and A Christmas Wish BOM from Gail Pan Designs. Take a look I know you will love them. ;-)
I have sign up to Abyquilt chalenge so I have to make a lot of UFOs this year. Now I have done 3 so fare in January. The first one are this Snowman pillow... From Crab-apple Hill...
The second are May Britts Christmas heart. I made me a new Christmas book, so I can whrite all I have to remember next Christmas. Adresses... Gifts ... and so on..
And at last The Christmas Angels from the Birdhouse.

So now I feel great have done all this..... but there are a LOT more to do. No problem to find more to do next month, and all through the year...
To day Lisbeth , a friend no blogger and I have started on Polka Dott Girls. We have both started and made two blocs and then forgott it... Hm... But now we are going to make the quilt.. Promise.
