Weekend with friends....

When I come home from work on thursday this wonderful surprise was waiting for me.... A parcel from Joy. I was her Stitching Angel, and now she realy was my. A lovely pouch with a B H stitchery on, a tape measure in a little tin and two pattern. One from Hugs'n Kisses and one of here own. ;-) The Ric Rac And Roses bag is a "must do" item. I'm going to Trondheim next weekend and it would have been so fun to have this new bag with me... Thank you Joy! I love your surprise.
This weekend I spend with great friend in a cabin not fare from my home. We did a lot of stitchery all of us, but i forgot to take photos..... I only have have a photo of the one I was working on.I hope to be abel to show you what the other was working on later. I started to make a little wall quilt from Nothern Quilts. Called Augustbroderusk.I manage to do all the applique and to stitch all the sayings. So now I have to stitch all the small details.
Aase had her birthday on 31. so we all tryed to surprise her and bring a cake, and so did she as well. :-) so we realy got a lot of cakes. From the few photos I took inside the cabbin ,it seems the only thing we did was eating.

I had to test my camera and take a photo looking at the sun. I feel it almost like easter.

We did not only eat.... belive it or not... we went for a walk in the beautifull sunny weather. Here you can see all the lovely team : Lisbeth, Aase, Anne Britt, Jørann, Inger and Sølvi. Thank you all for all the suport, hugs and laugther during this weekend. I realy needed it.

To all you others I have somting to tell.... The reason I have been a lazy blogger and not clever to reply all your comments on my blog lately is because I have to find me somthing else to do. The shop has been sold and there are no need for my co-worker, Irene , and me. I'm so happy to know there will be a quilt shop, but it is hard not to be a part of it. We have been so luckey get to know a lot of great quilting ladies and shop owners all over the world. And now at New Year it is the end of this part of our lifes.... I give the new owner all my best wishes and hope the great surroundings in the store are going to last.
Irene has been in her cabin with May Britt and some other great friends too this weekend. Pop ower and take a look of there great work. ( I hope M B has bloged it)

Flashback on my day

Sometimes I wonder why things went the way it does.....and now I wonder? I can't get my photos the way I want them to show. So now you get my day as a flashback....
This last week I have manage to finish some parts of stitchery quilts. We are some girls who are making this little Sun bonnets girls from Little quilts. Now October are done.And the mouse with scissors are the fourth part of Quiltmakers from the Freckles Collection. I also have started on The Wish Quilt after a pattern from Bronwyn Hayes.I got the pattern from Homespun. I have started on the last block of this quilt, so may be that are the reason blogger turn everything upside down to day?
To day I have got my self some great new thimbles.... I went to the big fair for used and old objects in the Vikingskipet in Hamar.( It is where all the skating happen during the Olympic Games in 1994.) It was a lot of sellers and filled with peoples keen to get all the best buyings.As you can see I got my part of the fun. I even got me some old clothes-peg.....
Hope you can see how big this fair are...I took this photo when we arrived.During the day it were more peoples coming, so it became difficult to walk and look what they all had to offer..
This is realy the first photo I want to show.... The Vikingskipet....It looks as a boat lying upside down.....
This is all for the day... now I have turn all my watches one hour back- end of summer in Norway. I have to wrap up some gifts for my oldest daugther, I'm going to visit her to morrow. We are celebrating her birthday.

Ups and Downs

This last week the luck has not been on my side..... First... I had to go to the dentist, I lost a filling.May be my home made bread had to mutch grain?
Second... My sewing maskine would not stop to spool. So now it is on its way to the repairer once again.....
And for the third have to pay tax arrears. I can't help feeling a little sorry for my self... :-(

But the weather has been great...almost that is...This morning it was 4 degrees below zero.Beautifull but cold. Winter soon???
But for the great happening.... I have got some great new fabrics. Lapphøna gave me a sweet fabrics and a thimble from Røros, after she had been there for a visit.And I got great fabrics from Nemo after she had been at Katrines Quiltestue... ;-)
I have manage to finish some of my smal goal this week. Easy to do small object when I have a lot to think about... I have made "The new couch companion" from Leanne's House and the Thread Catcher from Sue Daley Design. The last of the free patten from the Stitchery Angels Club. If the photo are kind, you can see the light fabrics are same sa the one I got from Lapphøna .But she got it in green. I love the little lady in the print... ;-)

I have also done one more of the Christmas Club kits.... Lovley Xmas Table Toppers From Hatched and Patched. It is so fun to work with felt.
Lynette asked at her blog if we could show Felix and Hugo some "old" items we had made from her pattern. So here yoy can see one of the first little bags I made.It is one of her weekend prosjects called A Bees Life Bag. I have done this months pattern of Noah's Ark - Tortoieses and Birds.Only four more small stitcheries to do...I feel the quilt will be great;-)
In the end for to day.... Jacob has somthing to tell.... (He dare to eat my home made bread. No fillings in his beak.)
Also He ask you all to take care and take care for all your friends. You never know when they need a little Hello and a Hug.

Out for a walk...

Last week I took a walk to vistit Lapphøna and have some coffee.... Would you like to come with me? Ok come along, the road goes by the river and we can look at the mountain. The colour in the forest are beautiful this time of the year.You can just walk in silence enjoying the natur...

And at last , or may be too soon ,Lapphønas home and coffee.. I agree, it was a lovely walk in the sun..
But next morning it was fog again...and rain... And when the mountain come out of the fog it looked like this.... Yes it is snow....another grey, cold rainy fall day...
Of course it helps when the sun shine on the snow....
I have not been able to finish mutch lately, I have only started new one... But my Annies Calendar quilt are done and hangs on one of the walls in my sewing room. Lapphøna, Nemo and I made it last year as a BOM. I used fabrics and buttons from my stash. Some of the buttons are blue and some green and in two sizes, but I like it and I didn't have to buy anny new buttons.. :-)
I have also manage to finish a little wallquilt from Bornwyn Hayes book, Cotton Country Quilt.The hard part of it was to choose from all our new red fabrics in the shoop for the border.

Foggy morning-Beautiful day

Now in fall the nights are cold and the mornings happen to be verry foggy. I tok this photo on my way to the buss. I'm standing on the bridge looking to the shopping mall.Not mutch to see....but...

Later on these days you can see how far you want, it seems.When the fogg gets away the big blue sky and the sun show all the beautyfull colours in the nature.
Yesterday I got mail...From my Stitching Angel.I got a big box all the way from USA.My dear angel had mad all this for me....Helen's Armchair caddy,Natalie's sweet little bag an Karen's great Pincusion. So thank you Karen for making all this for me.
I even got this from her.....Chocolate...(Yummy)..Beautifull fabrics...A thimble...The new Quilt Sample magasin... (who I have been looking after in Shops. I love to dream about visiting all the quiltstore they write about)...and a Wood Sign saying Quilts. So I have to say thank you both Karen, who send me all this great things and Heleen who made all this happen. Hugs to you both.
The things I have made for my Angel partner are almost ready to go in mail..... Wonder if she like what I have made for her.......Exciting....
Yesterday I went to a fair. I found these snowman plates... Love to use them for Christmas decorations....

I you have been reading May Britts blog you have been looking of all the great new fabrics we have got in the shop where I work. I love all the new brigth fabrics and this is what I got home with me. Just look at the BAG filled with wonderfull brigth fabrics..... :-) My next problen is .... what to do with them..... Hm...
I have manage to do a little last week.... the first of my Pincushion of the month from Quilt Fabric Delights. So fun to make....Hope the next parcel will come in a hurry.....
At last I want to show some great new thimbles I got from two great friends.... I love them. Hope you can see how sweet they are....The bird on a bough with appels are Norwegian. From Gjøvik. And the sweet little one with Panda on have come all the way from China....

Visit to Lappemor

I'm still travel about visiting Quilt shops. Last week I was in Oslo and Tynset.I have been visiting Lappemor for my first time, but certain not my last visit.A great shop in the montain.It was so fun to visit Anne Heidi in her great shop.
We had some hard time to figure what to buy(the hard thing was to deside what not to buy).There are so many difrent designs we all want to make.Here are Lisbeth and Vigdis trying to make up their minds.Fore me, I realy had a hard time. There was a lot of stuf I wanted....
After a great time in the store, we had to take a walk in the area... Lisbeth got her self a guy,a realy big one.(He are a Troll from Tynset.)It seems they have a lovely time.Wonder what they are up to?
Tynset are also known because of this huge Kicksled (Spark in Norwegian) I don't know if it belong to the Troll. ( can you imagine Lisbeth and him on a tour in the winter with lots of snow and a full moon??) LoL
When we drove from Tynset we drove by Tolga and I had to take this photo to show the great view.I took a lot of photos to show you.
Here are what I bought from Lappemor. Some medium Rick Rack, Witch buttons and some great fabrics. I got one fabrics with Steam Shovels ; to make a pillow for my husbond,some with beautifull flowers on and some I realy need. Fabrics with UFO's and Ufo-men on. I have a lot of UFO's so now I'm thinking of making me a UFO-bag....... :-) I also found a new hand quilting thread in a another store. I also got myself a new thimble. With Troll on.
Earlier last week I was a short trip to Oslo. I was able to make a quick visit to Panduro and manage to grab this. More Rick Rack, some new Tilda fabrics and tin,some small hearts and great handkerchief with Parrot on.
I got great mail yesterday from my mom. A lovely fabrics( I know what to make from it ) and a new pattern by Leanne . I have started to make the Couch Companion to day.... ;-)
Last week I made this little bag after an idea I saw on a blog..... But I don't remember where... May be I visit too many. The scissors keeper are from Lynette's design to the Stitching Angels . It is so fun to be a part of this swap. I know my angel have mailed me my parsel. I'm working on the things I want to post to my secred friend....

New Friends and Swap Partners...

To day I got a parcel from a unknown friend.Sarah from Memphis made this great Norwegian flag for me.I was her partner in the Miniature Booty Swap hosted by Toni. I love Swaping. Getting to know new peoples, reading theyr blogs and to decide what to make. So thank you both Sarah and Toni.
Sarah even give this to me....Some goodis named Goo Goo Supreme ( can wait to taste them) ,a postcard from Memphis (Wonder if she has seen Elvis...Hm ..) and great fabrics. She realy spoil me. And I love it all. She wrote a long letter to me, tellng me she had been on my blog, but not sayd Hello. I hope she will be back again. I will on her blog.. ;-)
I'm a member of Pincushion of the Month club and Sarah asked us to show how it looks where we lived.She asked for a photo out of our front door. This is what I saw the other day, My husband has borrowed a little steam shovel and are digging out from our garage.He are going to make a concrete floor. So my front yard are nothing to show new guests who deliver Pincushion kits these days. But it will be great he tells me...... And I belive him. :-)
