In the middle of the nigth...

Yes I have been at the Annual Quiltmeeting and I know I promise to take a lot of photos, but sorry to say I didn't. So if yoy want to see a lot of great work, take a look at May Britts blog... She are sooo clever with the camera. All I did was to talk with all the other ladies and buy items I didn't know I need... But I got a lot of great buyings. I got me some books and patterns I hopefully want to make something from...
And lovely fabrics I need for a project. Lisbeth (no blog) and I are going to bring this little quilt with us to Gøteborg at the NQT meeting in May. Great to have some stitching to do in the evening. It is a Gail Pan pattern from Country Thread.
I also got this kit from Quiltegården. Their own pattern of a great tablerunner and cloth. I know I will start to make the tablerunner soon. I need a new one for spring.
I even got my self a new BOM.Autumn Houses from Bunny Hill Designs.I know there was a lot of us ladies who just had to have this quilt. I have started on the first block, but it is one of my "take it slow and enjoy" work. ;-)

Beeing almost in Oslo, Lisbeth and I went to visit my oldest daugther. And I had to ask her to show Lisbeth the quilt I made for her some years ago... It was so fun to see all the old fabrics once again. Sometimes I'm thinking about making another quilt like this one..... but it has only been in my mind yet...
I have done all my March goal.... Block 5 on Polka Dott Girls are done... only 3 more to do... Done by summer. It is so fun to stitch this little "pictures"
I realy did all my little BOM's this month as vel.... so now April just have to come. I'm ready to stitch..... Sunbonnet Sue I buy from Little Quilts some times ago, and April is the last month I have to stitch. All the others are done and ready to put together.... The three other blocks I think you all know, great little BOM's from lovely ladies on the net. I wonder how the quilts are going to look like in the end.....
Jacob are waiting for spring.... He has learn from Cyan, my daugthers cat, to sit on the stove and warm hes feet... To day it has been a lot of weather and cold in the house. It has been snow, rain and wind.... great spring weather.... So I understand him. I have no socks to put on his feet... Poor bird ;-)
But thinking again I don't think the chocolate thief need socks. Jacob belive in helping himself- just go and get a piece if no one offer...

Untill next time; have great days and grab some chocolate...
I'm off to bed now, even if it is summertime I have to sleep a little....

Challenge...

I have manage to finish my Noah's Ark.It is all made with old Debbie Mumm's fabrics, and of course I hade to use the Noa's Ark fabrics as a border. all the borders around the little blocs was a little bit, or a lot, hard to put to gether. Not all are the same size, but it is Mine and I like it. So thank you Lynette for making this great little BOM. ;-)
This is the reason why I call this a challenge... I was challenget by May Britt this weekend to make this bag for the NQF's annual metting next weekend. And of course I had to take the challenge. So now I sit with wounded fingers and tired back, but SOOOO happy. I got my self a new handbag. May Britt has done her as well. Pop over to her blog and have a look. It is a new pattern from Red Brolly named the Gingham Girls.I loved to make it, but it was a lot of work. I have a lot of pockets in it.
It will be so fun to bring it to the meeting, and I can't hardly wait to see our bags together....

Untill next time ; have fun... Hugs.

Birds life....

Some weel ago I got mail from my friend Irene. She had taken a photo of a little owl. (spurv ugle)
It is not usual to get visit from owl's in brigth day ligth, but this little fellow hunt by day time. Irene was sooo happy about the visit, untill she looked closer on the photo and notice what it was doing.... It was eating a bullfinch...Then the owl was not such a great visit at the birdhouse any more....

Some days ago I suddenly heard a "bump" in my window. When I went to see what it was I saw a realy happy titmouse. It was hiding in the rose-bush and seemd VERY happy. ;-)
Because in a bush close by I saw "the bumper" - a little owl. When I knock on the window it gave me a "I hate you"-look. :-) I don't think he feel as happy as me and titmouse ,about not getting any dinner.

I wonder if there has been owl out in the garden before? I can't find no other explanation why Jacob are hiding like this on the sofa. It seems as it has been in a hurry and he even try to hide under a towel.
It is not easy to be a little bird.
I have done block two of the BOM from the Book club.Look how sweet all the animals are. Every one has got a sweetheart.

My first Chalenge of the month are done. A miniature from years ago. I made it from a magnet my oldest daugther bought on a vacation. The cats are looking at the moon and havin g a great time....
Last week I got the last parcel from the Christmas club 2008.This kit from Leannes House. I think this will be so nice to decorate for Christmas with. I realy hope the Team at Honeysuckle Cottage are doing a club like this some other year. I got a lot of great kits. ;-)

The last weeks I got a lot of new books. Some in mail and some buying at Quiltegården when I was in Trondheim last week. So now I got more to read and dream to make.....
I have a lot of UFO's to finish , so I don't need more, but it seem as when one are done there are some strange thing happen.... I got at least two more... Wonder what happen next- my Noah's Ark are almost done.....

Any way- have a great week. I will sit in the snowy weather and do UFO's
Hugs :-)

Small Blocks.....

To day I got the first blocks done of a Norwegian BOM from a Hobby book club. It is a Langebraaten design. I belive it is the BOM of the year in Norway. I'm doing mine allmost all in blue, using fabrics from my stash.
Some week ago I got a visit from a friend, Kjerstin and she are doing Noah's Ark to. So we had to compare our blocs. Her are all in blue and mine are with old Debbie Mumm fabrics. I have made the top and are ready to quilt it. It will be my March finish, I hope.
I have been in Oslo visiting my girls, this time I (belive it or not) didn't visit Katrines Quiltestue, but I got me a new button. Hand made by Snella and Petronella. So now I need just the rigth thing to put it on....
I have done all my February BOM's. This are block 7 of Polka Dot Girl. So now I only got 5 more to do.I have only the stitchery left on all the other blocs, so by June I have to be finish.... Hopefully ;-)
This is the rest of my small BOM . As you can see they are all done.. It is so fun to do small blocs. Fast and easy to bring with you to visit a friend of to stitch when listening to TV.
Yesterday I went to visit Lapphøna. She asked if I wanted some coffe.... And of course I would take a walk in the sun to get that.It was such a lovely day, almost spring. All the down-hill-skiers must have had a great day in the hill.
She and Nico even came to meet me.. ;-) Look how mutch and white snow we got.The next time I'm going for a walk I have to bring my sunglasses.
More sun and snow... this time a look out on the river... I love winter when it looks like this and spring are just around the corner.....

Happy stitching untill next time...

The birdhouse has got a hat on. And the door are closed so the birds goes to the second floor to get somthing to eat.The birdhouse are filled with sunflower seed. Not mutch food to find out on the ground now.
I have done almost all of the pin cushions from Pincushion of the Month club. I'm working on Sara's Pin Cushions by Leanne now. It is one of my relaxing work. They have all been so fun to make. But now it is only two more to be waiting for. I wonder who has made the pattern of them... I love to do small items and yesterday day I got a wonderful parcel in mail...

New Start...

I have started to make blocks for my Polka Dot Girls quilt made by Red Brolly. I started to make it as a BOM from Katrines Quiltestue several years ago, but like a lot it had turned out to be a WISP... Wonder why that happen...
But some weels ago a friend of me told she had started to make the PDG-quilt,and we desided to make one block a month....This is my january block. It is block 4. My friend (no blogger) does the quilt in Japanese fabrics.I hope she will allow me to show her blocks sometimes. They are so great...The two following blogs are the two I made some years ago. When I look at them I see that I have learnd a lot about stitching... But I still like to stitch on cotton batting as big as the whole block.I don't remember which was my first block. But as this is the first block I belive this is the first...

And this the second one. It says block two in the pattern also.
I have become a member of Polka-Dot Girls Stitchery Group also. So now I REALY have to make the whole quilt. Here I have seen some lovely blocks. I wonder if there are more ladies in Norway who has PDG as a Wisp ? I can't remember to have see the quilt on any blog yet....
Yesterday I took a photo of my sewing area- it is such a mess. I have soooo mutch I like to make and do.. You can see my february block of PDG are ready to be drawn on. I use a brown Pigma Micron 005 pen. It suit me.The thread are cover it complete when I stitch, but I don't draw the shading, so I have to have the pattern with me to look at.
I have been clever and have done part three from the Pincushion club. The pattern are made by Melly and me. A lot of work but fun to do. I'm almost done with the next pincushion also. I will show you next time. And to day I got a new kit in mail. A lot of great things to make... This club are sooo fun. I love it.

This week are going to be another busy week. To morrow I'm going to Oslo and meet my two girls, and yes I'm going to visti Katrines..... I hope she has got somthing new to show me... I will also visit panduro also, they have the new book from Tilda... I think I need that...
On thursday there are a meeting in Elverum Quiltelag so I have a day to meet my friends there. I don't see them so often these days as I don't work in Elverum any more.So I have a lot to catch up....
Untill next time have some great quilt days.
Have fun with your friends... ;-)
